He could get it closed on the loosest setting, but it was a little tight for his comfort. This is a throw back to when a watch was a watch. It doesn't do anything fancy and I don't ask my watches to do so. This is a classic looking masculine mens watch that you can dress up or down. The watch has a good weight to it without literally weighing down your arm. I like the roman numerals and the somewhat retro vibe of the shape and face. The finish on the black option is rich looking without being sparkly. I have skinny wrists so I had to take out a fair number of links but this was easily done with the tool provided and by following the instructions. I had no issues with the adjustment. The "butterfly" closure took me a bit to get comfortable with for closing it but after a few times I managed both opening and closing the clasp easily. Great watch for the price.
