This faux fireplace does look quite nice. It's very heavy, arrived well padded in a large box (but even then there was a little damage to one of the corners, probably from the package being dropped on its corner - the damage is barely visible, but I've heard of people getting it in worse condition). The fake fire looks very nice, quite realistic - it has red/orange flame lights and blue flame lights and you can adjust either/both of those separately, so there are quite a few variations on the appearance of your fire. The heater fan is a bit loud - I certainly would have preferred quieter, but it's not intrusive. The heater itself seems to work very well - I have a 400 sq ft room with elevated ceilings and it raises the temperature of the room by, say, 5 degrees in probably less than an hour. I think the heating cycle turns on and off too much, though - once your room gets to be around the temp you set on the fireplace, it tends to come on and shut off pretty frequently, I'm guessing it's sensor has only a 1 or 2 degree range. One thing that bugs me, though, is that the heating elements are visible and not places near the faux fire. It ruins the effect to see a stone fireplace with a looks-real fire, and then to see some red-hot metal rods in an odd place. I'd think they could have hidden those rose from view by simply curving the duct they live in just a little, so you can see into the duct but can't see the heating elements. Very nice electric fireplace. We really like the stone with dark wood look base and mantle. But this only gets 4 stars because we had to use a dark brown marker to finish the "stained" effect of the base and mantle. It wasn't finished all the way to the edge of the stones. And because it is fiberglass, the mantle top is prone to being scratched by anything with a sharp edge. ... show more

This looks great in our small den. Please read the dimensions. It is on the small side; it is not a regular-sized fireplace. It looks like real stone and is well-made. I went to every furniture store in town, and no one could touch this price. It gives the room a cozy cottage feel. The flame has six settings, and the temperature can be lowered or raised as needed. It’s ok. There are no logs as pictured… there are just 2 lumps of coal on fire. Otherwise the stone part is nice. Definitely way overpriced for something that looks so fake.

Beautiful stone that looks real and is very solidly put together. Deep enough for a good sized tv. Light weight (approximately 74 lbs). No assembly required. Just unpack and plug in. Great for cool mornings and evenings. Heats quickly. Remote is good too. Great price..

I really wanted to love this but it came broken. It is made of a very delicate plaster which broke into piece during shipping. I’m not optimistic that the next one would be better so I will not order a replacement.
