Description

Classic Brands Decker Firm Hybrid Memory Foam and Innerspring 10.5-Inch Mattress is the newest technology in bedding-combining the traditional innerspring coils with the newest generation of memory foam to provide the ultimate sleep experience. Progressive memory foam layers conform precisely to your body while the wrapped innerspring coils move independently providing comfort and support for an undisturbed night's sleep. The 10.5-inch profile Decker Hybrid Memory Foam Innerspring Mattress combines the support of a wrapped steel coil innerspring with the conforming response of memory foam. The 1- inch top layer consists of breathable open-cell memory foam that conforms to your shape. A second layer of 1-inch comfort foam and a third layer of 2-inch comfort foam works with the support layer providing you with the ultimate sleeping experience. The 6-inch individually wrapped coils are encased in separate pockets which enables the coils to move independently and reduce the sensation of movement on a bed providing contouring comfort and support for an uninterrupted night’s sleep. Covered with a beautifully detailed quilted knit cover with a corded edge and coordinating knit sides for breathability. Benefits of Memory Foam A memory foam mattress can support each part of the body evenly and individually. Memory foam slowly and automatically adjusts to your body weight and temperature. In addition to the slow, conforming response, memory foam offers complete, luxurious and stress-free support. This can allow the spine to stay in a neutral position. Should you move during the night, your partner is never disturbed due to the lack of reciprocal movement between sleeping partners. Additionally, when you do move in bed, memory foam gently 'fills in' and reshapes itself to your new sleeping posture, cradling every part of your body. This next generation of memory foam is more porous or open than conventional foam, meaning the cells are interconnected unlike closed cell foam; thereby it is more breathable and comfortable than higher density visco-elastic foam. The open-celled physical structure of our foams is self-ventilating. Air can travel throughout the material and dissipate body heat regulating your body temperature. Individually Wrapped Coil Support Base The support base in our hybrid mattresses consists of innerspring individual coils wrapped in a fabric designed to minimize friction and maximize support. The 13-gauge steel coils tend to provide consistent distribution of support throughout the mattress and lessens motion transfer and disturbance between sleep partners. The 6-inch individually wrapped innerspring coils are encased in separate pockets, so they can contour precisely to your body. Individually wrapped coil innersprings move independently and reduce the sensation of movement on a bed, providing contouring comfort and support without tossing and turning. CertiPUR-US Certified The foam in Classic Brands Decker 10.5-Inch Hybrid Memory Foam and Innerspring Mattress is CertiPUR-US certified. The CertiPUR-US program is a voluntary testing, analysis, and certification program for flexible polyurethane foam used as a cushioning material in home furnishings such as adult mattresses, crib mattresses, upholstered furniture and some accessory comfort products. Certified flexible polyurethane foams have been independently laboratory tested. Get it Right the First Time It is also a good idea to know the size and the height of your mattress ahead of time to make sure you are ordering the correct size. Keep in mind that you should combine the height of your bed frame, foundation, or adjustable bed base with the height of your mattress to get a gauge of the how tall your sleep system will be. Because of this process, we can ship more mattresses per delivery and reduce the amount of carbon emissions. A mattress that is roll-packed still retains its initial quality, as each will quick recover and return to its original shape after being removed out of packaging. • These compare in quality to Stearns and Foster mattresses (according to my wife, who fell in love with one of those...)
Item Thickness: 14 Inches Size: Twin XL
We purchased 2 twin XL mattresses to go with our twin XL adjustable bases (these are known as 'split king' in some areas). We had the bases sync'd together under our previous king size mattress and it was great; until we went to sleep. There were times that I wanted to be in a 'zero G' position, but my wife was sleeping on her side, so... After waking up one morning, I decided enough was enough and we need to split (beds, that is!), so we went looking at mattresses and was totally shocked by the costs on 'some' mattresses. You've seen them, I'm sure. Now some of those mattresses might be just like sleeping on a cloud that's constantly refreshed and rocked by angels, but I'll never know, because I won't pay $2000 for a twin XL mattress! Holy cow! So, we headed to Amazon. Now buying a mattress online, without a means to test drive it, is a little daunting to say the least. After cruising through several brands and dozens of reviews, we settled on this one! We're only about 2 weeks in on these and are very pleased that we went with this brand and style. I've uploaded a video to show the unpacking. The UPS delivery tracking stated '73 lbs' per box and they were packed in 2 separate boxes, about the width of the mattress (imagine that!). You'll see me hauling these in. I'm 6' 4" and 320 lbs, so they weren't a big deal for me to get them in, but be careful if you aren't a moose, just get some help. I would have, if I needed it. I took them downstairs to unwrap and let them air out. They're wrapped up in a vacuum packed bundle, with tape around the roll. The roll is about 13"-15" inches for the twin XL units. Being super careful while using a knife to cut the tape and unroll each one, they start to expand really well once you've unrolled them. The first one that we unwrapped, you can see my son reacting to the high-pitched whistle of air being sucked into the bag! They do have a pretty strong 'gel-foam' aroma when unboxed, but it decreases a lot by the next day. It takes a few days to go away completely. We purchased mattress covers to go on them and that helped A LOT with the smell ! Sleep Tite by Malouf® Hypoallergenic 100% Waterproof Mattress Protector- 15-Year Warranty - Twin XL Once fully 'inflated', the mattress lives up to it's billing of 14", so you'll want to be really careful picking out sheets. We got a set of flannels that listed as 'fitting to 16 inches' but there's no way that was true. Maybe 16 inches if you compress it and let it snap back...! There might be people who will tell you "yeah, but ours has this warranty" or " we'll be here if you ever have a problem with it" or something to that effect, but you're not really going to have better luck with them, and you almost certainly will NOT get a better nights sleep that makes up for the $1700 difference in price! Overall, for the cost/comfort ratio, these mattresses are working out very well !! I'll post updates periodically to let you know how well they do over time! ****UPDATE**** It's been a bit over a month since we got these, and they're still GREAT! We have these on adjustable bases and they are able to flex sufficiently to get into any of the positions that the bases can do! I'm sleeping great and between these and the 'zero G' option on the base, my near constant lower back pain is gone! I wake up in the mornings without pain! That, by itself, is worth the cost of the mattresses and the bases! The mattresses are doing their job, and they have no sags or any other 'breakdown' type issues, like dipping sides. Though, with this set, they're pretty tall, so they don't get sat on a lot by anyone, just looking to chat in the mornings. I'll keep you posted! ****2nd UPDATE**** It's been 4 months now and these mattresses are still doing their job! I'm very pleased! For these to be worth it (for me) they'll need to hit 2 years, so I'll keep you posted. Still no issues with 'perma-dents' or anything like that and I'm still low-back pain-free in the mornings! Yay! I think the only thing that *still* gets me is the height! Man, these things are tall. As a result, I need to wiggle about a bit to get positioned where I want. Before, I'd just kinda 'drop-roll' because the mattress was lower and that would get me where I need to be, but not with this set! Oh well! ;) ****3rd UPDATE**** It's now been over a year and I'm still very happy with this mattress. A couple of things that I've discovered that may help someone is, 1) use a mattress cover of some kind, and 2) you'll need 'tall' bottom sheets, of good quality and that should help a lot with the overheating. I still don't have any break-down on the sides or the top (no low spots or sinking!) I'm still using this mattress on the adjustable base and it's still in great shape! So far, a good value for the money. If I can get another couple of years out of it, I'll be happy! That's about the time that I'll be looking for something else (I'm getting older after all!). ;) ... show more

  • Convenient delivery, good quality for the price
Item Thickness: 12 Inches Size: Queen
It has only been about two weeks since we received this mattress, but we have found the previous excellent reviews to be accurate. I bought this mattress for my young adult daughter. She likes a soft mattress and has found this to be very comfortable. It feels firm with the coil underpinning, but sleeps soft. I have not slept on it, but the foam layer actually does feel cool to the touch. I plan to check this out myself one night to see if it actually does sleep cool, but my daughter is very cold natured so I wasn't really worried about this for her. The covering is very high quality and after removing mattresses without carry straps, I really appreciated them in getting the bed situated on the frame. It also arrived about a week earlier than Classic Brands indicated it would. I'm not sure if Classic Brands is packaging this differently than when the early reviewers received theirs, but we were really disappointed that we didn't get any of the excitement mentioned by previous reviews. The box was slightly damaged, but the inner plastic coverings were in perfect condition. It came with two layers of regular plastic covering and an inner, thick plastic that compressed the mattress. The shipping company would have to really abuse this box when shipping to get the compressed mattress dirty, in my opinion. We situated the mattress roll on the bed and then carefully removed the first two layers. That left us with the inner plastic that slowly unrolled until we had the compressed mattress flat on the frame. After cutting the thick inner plastic, the mattress slowly inflated. We were all standing around waiting for it to explode open, but all it did was slowly inflate. We were quite disappointed! Given how it was packaged, the only way I could see for any explosive openings would be if you quickly cut through ALL the layers at one time. The mattress was almost completely expanded within a few hours and by the end of 48 hours, it was completely reformed. I measured the height and it was a true 12 inches. If you measured right at the very edge where the seam is, it was slightly less, but if measured a little away from where the edge pulled the topper together, it was the full size advertised. There was a little smell that you often get outgassing from new textiles, but the smell was pretty much gone after a couple of days. I do agree that the purchaser should plan on the mattress needing two or three days before sleeping on it. If I had been willing to shop at several different locations, I might have been able to find a good mattress at a slightly cheaper price, but the ease of having this delivered to the door in a "small" roll was rather nice. Given the look and feel of this mattress, I have high hopes that it will last for a good number of years. We'll see. ... show more

  • My most thorough review of a product...
Item Thickness: 12 Inches Size: Full
Okay so this is going to be the most thorough review I've ever given on amazon because mattresses are an important buy and very risky to do just based off of reviews online. My intention for this mattress was to get a cheap, medium-firm, hybrid mattress. After doing about 3 months of research this one was the one I found the be the best deal, the best product, and have the best reviews (after ignoring all the spam reviews and ultra negative ones). So, is this mattress cheap in price? Yes. Especially compared to the name brand counterparts. Is it the most cheap mattress on amazon? No, but you're getting you money's worth with buying this compared to a potential crappy $150 mattress. Is this mattress medium- firm? Yes. A lot of other reviewers say it's too hard and not plush enough. To me, everyone has different opinions on what constitutes a firm or soft mattress based off of their own experiences. I can confirm that it is a firm bed with a mild sink to it due to the memory foam. Is this mattress a hybrid? Yes. I've had this mattress for a week now and it's holding up. The following are some things I've noticed that I was not informed of based off of other reviews. I'll update this as time continues. 1) The box came heavily beaten up but the product was fine. Can't expect much since this thing weights 60+ lbs. 2) This thing is heavy. I got a full sized mattress and it took me awhile to get it up the stairs. 3) I didn't notice a smell that other reviewers were noting, but just in case I sprayed some tea tree oil on it to mask a smell just in case. 4) My mattress 'inflated' within seconds to it's full size. I was planning on letting it rise for 24 hours in case it didn't inflate fast enough. Is this the most fantastic mattress I'v ever slept on? No. But it's a good one for the price so I'm not expecting cloud 9. It's a good mattress thus far and I'm hoping it'll hold up over time. I'll update as time progresses. 1 Month Later: Things are still holding up. There's no sagging in the middle or on the sides. The firmness is still holding up. I forgot to mention this before, but this thing is VERY deep. I could barely get my deep pocketed sheets over it. 10 months later: still holding up little more of a bounce not as firm as when I bought it (as to be expected) still very comfortable no issue with the edges sagging. ... show more

  • Exceeded My Expectations!!! Exceeded My Expectations!!!
Item Thickness: 10.5 Inches Size: Queen
This is my first online order ever of a mattress as I was skeptical of ordering such a large item without being able to try it out first. After having done months of reading reviews on hybrid-mattresses in the same price range I decided on this one due to the relatively good reviews. Very, very happy to say this has been one of the best online purchases I have ever made!!! Delivery was pretty fast in just about a week. Unless you are super strong, the boxed mattress is quite heavy so you’ll definitely need 2 people to carry it. The mattress is wrapped in 2 layers of thick plastic. Once you take the first layer off, get ready because it will instantly puff up once you take the 2nd layer off. Within minutes, it will inflate to nearly its full size. There is a slight plastic smell but for me, this completely dissipated in just a few days. I opened it in the morning, went to work for 10 hours and by the time I came home it had expanded to a full 10 inches (*See picture. This is measuring from the puffed top of the bed to the edge and not just at the height of the edge itself. If you measure at the edge of the bed it will only be 9 inches high as the edge is tapered down.) ... Obviously the smell didn’t bother me a whole lot but obviously everyone is different so if you are sensitive, it might be better to let it air out a night or two first before sleeping on. After 3 days and the smell was 99% gone for me. Like many others, I was also really nervous if this might be either too soft or too hard to my liking. Or if I might be unlucky and receive a lemon (ie., damaged in delivery, not fully expanding, etc). Happy to report that I did not encounter any of this. Though the box arrived a little beat up, the mattress itself was unscathed inside the thick plastic wraps. *** Firmness Level?? -- I’ve slept on a box-spring mattress for the past 10 years and I prefer my mattresses on the firmer side. When I go to those mattress showrooms, the type of mattresses I prefer are usually the ones labeled “medium-firm”. I hate that sinking, heat-trapping feeling of full memory foam mattresses. I also do not like the feeling of pillow-top mattresses as they are too plush, again with that sinking feeling. To me, this mattress is medium-firm and exactly what I had hoped for! The top foam layers provide a nice thick cushion where you will not feel any coils but it has enough support that your body will not have that sinking trapped-in feeling either. If you like your mattress very super firm, this may not be for you. On the other hand if you prefer a sinked-in, pillowy-soft, body-hugging feel, this probably isn’t for you either. To me, this is a perfect combination of what I would call “cushioned firmness”. *** Motion-transfer? -- Movements like getting in and out surprisingly does not shake the entire bed. There is a slight bounce if you intentionally bounce hard on it but again, the mattress does a good job in absorbing motion which prevents the entire bed from shaking like jello. If you sit on any of the edges, the edge will sink down quite a bit and not hold up like a regular spring-coil mattress. This was the most surprising thing for me as I am only used to regular spring coil mattresses with stronger edges that hold up. … However, for me this doesn’t affect the usage of sleeping on whatsoever as I’m not planning to sit on its edges. *** Does it sleep hot? -- The covering of the mattress is made of a soft, plush fabric but so far having slept on it about 30 nights in midsummer June weather without any a/c, I have not had any of that “trapped heat” feeling. I use a Sealy brand waterproof mattress protector on it topped with a 100% cotton fitted sheet so I am not sure if it could be the type of sheet I’m using but my conclusion is no, it does not trap heat. *** Dimensions? -- The Queen size measures 60” x 80”. I am using this with a Zinus Arnav 10” high Queen Platform Bed Frame. I am really happy these two items of different brands fit each other perfectly like a glove!! Also note that this mattress can only be used / slept on ONE-SIDE and cannot be flipped to use the other side as only one side has foam padding. I love that there are two tabs sewn onto each of the long sides of the mattress which is a helpful addition when you need to move the mattress! *** Conclusion: The value totally exceeds the price and blew my expectations away!! I think this might be one of the most budget-friendly, medium-firm hybrid mattresses out there that offers superb comfortability and excellent quality!! Would buy again and definitely highly recommend!!!! If the quality or durability of this mattress changes for me in the future, I will come back to update! For now, I am a super happy, well-rested camper!! ... show more

  • Great mattress! Great mattress!
Item Thickness: 10.5 Inches Size: Queen
I have been sleeping on this mattress since September and I have been extremely happy with it. I actually very rarely leave reviews for products but I had a difficult time finding a good mattress that fit my very limited budget when I decided to purchase this one and wanted to chime in on the good reviews for this product! This mattress arrived quickly and was well packaged. I purchased it specifically for a move and it took up very little space in my Uhaul. I opened it first thing when I got to my new house as it said it needed time to fully inflate but it popped right up out of the package almost immediately and slept great that night (only about 6 or 7 hours from the time I opened it.) The mattress was in great condition with no shipping damage, the covering and seams are all well made and high quality. Several reviews for some of these box mattresses mentioned that the outer walls felt flimsy-- but this mattress looks and feels structurally like the quality you would expect from a traditional mattress store (even better quality than some of the lower-end models of name brand products, in my opinion after shopping many of them before I went with this.) There was no chemical or packaging odors (also something else some reviews for boxed mattresses mentioned that I am very sensitive to and was worried about.) It sleeps very firm- which I like and was specifically looking for- but does not feel hard. I am often a side sleeper which sometimes doesn't work out well with firm mattresses and I have never experienced pain from side sleeping with this mattress. What prompted me to write this review was taking my mattress cover off this morning for a wash and noticing how this mattress still looks brand new (pictures are from today)! My last new mattress purchase was a baseline model of a Serta pillow top and within about three months I started to get VERY noticeable indentations in it, which they told me made it ineligible for any warranty returns. After 6 months there are no indentations in this mattress, the cover is in perfect shape, and it continues to be extremely comfortable. I have been very pleased with this product-- far beyond my expectations-- and am blown away by how great it has been for the price point. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a firm, good quality mattress on a budget! ... show more

  • RV Mattress
Item Thickness: 14 Inches Size: King
** Initial Impressions ** Read and read and read everything I could on these type mattresses. Had a king sized mattress in the RV that was leaving us sore and achy after one night of sleep. We would be stiff and sore two nights later after a weekend in the RV. The doors into the RV would not allow a full king sized mattress into the RV. When I saw these type mattresses, it would be perfect to get into RV bedroom. RVs have small door ways and tight spaces. A full king sized mattress is wider than the height of our RV door. Plus, a full sized mattress is very bulky to move around. Delivery. Comes in a box and two layers of plastic. Heavy, heavy, heavy in King sized. Picked it up at the local FedEx store. Wife and I could load it into the truck. FedEx people offered no help in loading it onto a cart or loading it into our pickup truck. Nice. As you would expect, the box was damaged some. No holes in the plastic or anything. Just a little damage, as you would expect in such a heavy item being shipped. Got it into the RV. Easier than I thought. Did it by myself, with a dolly. Un-boxed and lifted onto the bed platform. Checked several times to insure I had the correct side up. Un-rolled the outer plastic. Nice, thick plastic. No holes in it. Kind of got the mattress near where it needed to be and cut the inner plastic bag. Mattress quickly expanded and I worked on getting the rest of the plastic off the mattress. Pulls out easily from under. Let it sit for a few hours to expand. Then put on the mattress pad, sheets, and comforter. ** Initial Impressions ** This is going to work great. Firm, yet plush. I am a larger male. Way better than the POS RV mattress we had. At home we have a Beautyrest black mattress. Initially, this seems about as comfortable. We need to sleep on this some. I'll come back and update this review once we have slept on it some. For anyone looking to get a King sized mattress into a tight space, like an RV, might be a solution. I noticed that the price has gone up $100 dollars since we ordered from Amazon. The main reason that I selected this one is due to the video I saw in another review. Thank you to that poster. I added a picture of the mattress in our RV so you could see the tight space it will live in. This is right after unpacking. It has expanded some since this picture. Other reviews noted dirt or blood on their mattress. We did not experience this. The box has staples and it would be easy to cut yourself on the box when unpacking. If the box was so damaged that you could see holes in the plastic when delivered, maybe refuse delivery then. Ours had no holes in the plastic and the plastic cover is thick. *** UPDATE *** Still love this mattress. Plush and so comfortable. No regrets. ... show more

  • Three stars for price, 2 for comfort.
I waited almost a year to leave a review because there were few that addressed how this mattress did over time. First, anyone who says this is a "soft" mattress must be a fan of hardwood or cement beds. I think the disagreement about it being hard vs soft, comes from not clarifying what is meant. If you are a fan of pillow tops with their feathery cloud-like cushioning, you won't like this. Even with a decent mattress pad, it doesn't have that cushion. For those who want a mattress that will stay absolutely flat and firm, it is made of layers of memory foam and so it will not do this. As it warms, it conforms to your body. At first, this was only a minor inconvenience when you would change positions and the divots from the original position remained for 15 minutes or more. 9 mos later, however, the divots, even with rotating the mattress monthly, remain for an hour or more. In fact, there are two that seem permanent. So, if you are a person who uses the mattress only for sleep, it should not be too much of an issue. If, however, you are among the many of us who read, watch TV, do needlework, etc., to relax while sitting in bed, it will leave a large and very uncomfortable dip that makes sleep almost impossible. If you have a lower back issue, this is especially troublesome. Some people have worried that it retains heat, like many foam mattresses do. It did not even retain as much as my old foam topper did. Temperature wise, it is very comfortable. It does not transfer much motion, but I do notice a difference when my husband comes to bed. The mattress seems to become firmer. One thing that I did not see mentioned is that, due to the weight of this mattress, it is VERY difficult to make the bed. Lifting even one corner is very difficult. Fortunately, there are "handles" on the sides so the mattress can be lifted and turned to change sheets. It takes the entire family to do it. For a fourth of price of most mattresses, this is a good mattress, but because of the issues with dips and divots, I cannot rate it too highly. It is probably very good for guest rooms where it isn't used often, but not as much for a primary mattress. ... show more

  • Exactly the Right Size for My Little Family (Cal King)
Item Thickness: 12 Inches Size: Cal King
I'm big, y'all. I'm 6'4, nearly 400lbs. So even though my girlfriend is a totally average size, my old Queen bed (same kind, by the way) wasn't really big enough. I was single when I bought it, though, so I'd just lay diagonally across it and it was all good. When we moved in together last year, though, it slowly became obvious that it wasn't cutting it. Every day I'd wake up with my feet hanging off, and pretty often even when I came to bed she'd be taking up just slightly too much of it. Bummer. Then we got a big chubby old Staffy mix, a rescue from a bad situation. And he was a cuddler. Poor baby didn't get nearly enough affection for his whole life, which obviously means WE were gonna insist on cuddling as often as possible. But by god, that bed was NOT big enough for all of us. THIS bed is, though. By comparison, this is like an ocean of pillowtop waves we have to swim across to even touch. If I lay across as much of the bed as possible, both she and our bubby still fit perfectly comfortably for cuddles. Maybe not restful sleep, but certainly a comfy nap at least. We bought a staircase for the dog to come up into the bed more easily, so now he wanders up in the middle of the night and lays down between us, which is adorable. And, more to the point, it's only possible for him to do that because this bed is so big. It's. AWESOME. If you have a little family of your own, maybe several pets, kids, etc, this is the correct bed. It's soft and springy but firm as well - Again, I weight almost 400 lbs and I sleep ten hours every night in one spot and neither THIS bed nor my PREVIOUS one (the Queen) sank in even a little bit. It feels great after hard days on set (I'm a content marketing specialist and creative director, so I'm sometimes tasked with helping on productions - I'm also always the biggest dude on set, so, guess who carries all the big stuff haha), and on days off when it's possible to sleep in and cuddle my baby girl and my little man, more the better. This is a VERY good bed. Pro Tip, though - when you get it in the mail and start cutting it open and everything, make sure it's LEVEL while it's expanding and DON'T let anyone or anything get on it until it's been at least one full day. To accomplish this in our case (with our bubby, who loves to lay on soft things), we put it up on the dining room table and propped up the corners using our chairs. That way it stayed flat and stayed up off the ground. Second pro tip, after it seems like it's all expanded, go around the outside edge and "yank" up on just the pillowtop. It'll kind of sound like really faint "tearing" almost, but all you're doing is making sure that the pillowtop gel-foam isn't sticking to the other stuff in the bed, meaning it'll actually expand evenly instead just along the lines it's stuck to. You can actually pull up on it in the middle, too, just do the outside first so you know how it feels and sounds when you do it correctly. And ROTATE YOUR MATTRESS - why doesn't anyone teach kids about this stuff anymore? ... show more
