Awesome, we love it!!! We needed a new mattress and had a super tight budget. And thus began the mattress in a box search.....after reading loads if reviews we decided to give this one a go and we are NOT disappointed. Obviously everyone is different but my hubby and I are both comfortable and sleeping better on this mattress than we have been or slept in a loooonnng time. It's not too soft so you don't sink way in but it's not rock hard either. We let the mattress hang out in the box for a couple days since it was cold outside when it was delivered. Once we opened the box the mattress plumped right up to it's full height with no weird un-plumped spots and no weird smells. Been using the mattress just over 3 months at the time of this review. We would highly recommend this if you're on a tight budget and still desire a super comfy mattress!

Easy to install. Was able to have it right ontop of a metal bed frame and nothing in between. Slept on it the same night I 'installed' it. Very comfortable and cool. Looks like it is small when box comes in, but it expands the moment the plastic comes off. I sleep comfortably on it, 110 lbs and my 60 lbs dog too. No dipping of the mattress despite nearly 200 lbs on it. Very quiet, without a mattress protector.

This is so far a great mattress, especially for the price. I am sitting here watching commercials for $3000 memory foam mattresses. I am 250 lbs and if you like a firm mattress this is for you. I have been sleeping on this for about 2 weeks and can only say it is awesome. My story may be different in a few months, but this is keeping its shape and coolness when I sleep. You sink in just enough and then you are supported very nicely. I will look to review it after 6 months. The chemical smell was negligent except for like 1 hour maybe. It was fully expanded within about 2 hours. The zip cover comes off easily and washed nicely in cold water. 6 month update: mattress is the best purchase I have ever made for bedding! The price is why I was skeptical, but it has been totally worth it. Not only does it still have the shape as if it was new, I am enjoying zero back pain too. I have been sleeping the night through and never wake up stiff or sore. 1 year update: I have been sleeping on this mattress nightly for over a year and almost a half and can testify that it is still the same as the first day i bought it. The price is always almost too good, but I would buy this again. I am 250 pounds and have not made a dent in this thing. It is firm, but you are supported and just sink in a little.

so, ive purchased both the twin 12 inch (labelled as "mattress" in size selection) and full size 12 inch (labelled "12 inch" in size selection), and i personally find them both nice mattresses for sleeping on solo. everything was super easy to open and set up. i let 'em rise for 24 hours and there was no super strong warehouse smell (though if you pressed your face into it without a sheet you could still get a whiff of plastic for like...a week. this wasnt an issue for me though) the twin was PRETTY FIRM for a memory foam mattress. i liked it alot, there was no sinkage or pit that formed when more than one person sat on it. it is for this reason that, when i decided to size up to a full so i had more room to sleep with my partner, i bought the same brand thinking itd be the same firmness, especially considering (unless im a dunce and missed it...) i didnt see any options to choose a firmness or specifications on the item listing FOR firmness (i.e. all i had to go on were reviews, many of which mentioned the mattresses being pretty firm for memory foam) the full size i got was VERY SOFT. like, much much MUCH softer than the twin i had. im fine with this when im sleeping by myself- its not like theres NO support, its just not as nice for sleeping with another person next to you because it IS soft enough that a dip will form under the heavier person. im not the pickiest about beds and firmness and all that, i still like both of the ones i got, and theyre great for the price i got 'em for sure. was just a tad disappointing finding out that the firmnesses arent standard accross all sizes and (as far as i could tell) theres no specifications saying which are what firmness. i didnt expect either bed to be permanent for me, which is why i only spent 350 on a full sized mattress, so its not like im too beat up about it. by myself, the full is plenty comfy and i expect it to last the few years i need it to. its just worth mentioning that the firmness can be kinda... unpredictable i geuss? 🤷♂️

I was somewhat apprehensive of the "mattress-in-a-box" concept at first, but conceded after moving into a third floor apartment. I had originally purchased two more of these from Walmart, but found the third one cheaper on Amazon, also with a faster delivery time, in which it arrived quickly, as expected, and fully expanded to a full 12 inches within an hour. (WARNING - Do not purchase the 12 inch mattress for a top bunk, as it will make the guard rails disappear and kids will fall off!! There are 8 and 10 inch mattresses available!) It is on the firmer side, but provides great comfort and support for the money. There are no springs, it can also be eventually vacuum sealed back up for transporting, and is light and flexible enough for one person to maneuver alone. There is not much of a break-in period, if you are not accustomed to a firm mattress give it a few days, and if you are you will not be disappointed. I have not noticed the mattress gets hot, nor can I ever feel when someone else is moving around on the bed. I have read reviews of the mattress only lasting about a year, but we are not there yet, and I have not seen any indication of any problems so far, and you can't beat the convenience of the portability and value for the price.

I was a bit concerned when buying my 1st foam mattress about heat and stickyness with memory foam. I went through several pillows over the years that just didnt work out because they got so warm during the night and id wake up with half my head covered in sweat. I didnt want to risk that with a bed. After reading up about the "newer" gel foam mattresses I decided to try one out. The first was for my daughter when I bought my house and she was ready to upgrade to a larger bed. I purchased her one of these in a FULL size and it was amazing. I set it up in living room and let it air out for 2 days to properly inflate and let the gases escape. Then I tried laying on it and was in heaven... She absolutely loves the bed and has been using it since Nov 2019. When it was time for my 4yo to move from toddler bed into his own TWIN, I got him one of these as well. And he talked about how much more comfortable his new bed is than my old bed for quite some time. This time around, I purchased one for my garage... I work overnights and have been using a couch in my garage (I have a game room set up as well) to sleep on during week so the kids doint have to be quiet in the house while im asleep during day. I am so happy to have my own. Next purchase will be a Queen for my master bedroom. I have a pillow top Cal King now we bought 12+ years ago but out new house has smaller bedrooms and while we put off buying another mattress due to how much we paid for the bed (about 2K), its about time now and the Cool Gel QUEEN is only about $400 when they have them in stock.. Total bargain for the superior quality and comfort.

As a 5'5 woman who worked as a firefighter for 15 years, it's a gross understatement to say my body has taken a beating. In my 40s, I've developed arthritis in my back and hips and gaining 40 pounds after having kids didn't help. I've slept like poop for so long, I can't remember having a good night's sleep or even waking up without being in a decent amount of pain. We bought our sleep number bed 11 years ago and never really got good sleep on it. My 260# 6'5 husband had no issues but lately he's been waking up with back pain, too. Sleep number told us we needed new foam and it would be $300 to replace it. PLUS the air chambers leaked. I'm done throwing money at that company. They prorate repairs, so a lifetime warranty really isn't. I read the reviews on this mattress and was scared to hope. Especially the reviews by people over 200lbs who gave me hope my husband would get good relief, too. No real off gassing to complain about. First night sleep was magic. I woke up in the exact position I fell asleep in. Didn't toss and turn hourly like before I've had 4 nights of pretty close to perfect sleep on this inexpensive beauty. Not a bit of hip pain, when I'm scheduled to get an MRI next week.... pressure points are cradled, not pinpointed with this mattress. So freaking happy. Hubby is like meh about it, but I haven't heard him moaning and groaning in the morning about his back for 4 days, so YAY. Sleep number mattress is in the garage awaiting garbage day. Woot! ***UPDATE** After a year of owning this, I found myself sleeping on the sofa because the support for my torso was shot and it was visibly sagging. I'm under 200 lbs so this makes no sense. Just bought a new mattress from costco with a 10 year warranty for twice the price. Good luck
