I bought this mattress without reading the reviews and once I did I panicked! I read about the horrible chemical mold smell, the fiber glass slip cover, the fact that it stays flat, isn't comfortable, and even might be dirty/infested with bed bugs upon opening!!! I really considered shipping it back as soon it got here but I needed the mattress now so I examined the mattress through the clear plastic looking for yellow stains and bed bugs and once I felt I had checked it thoroughly I opened it up and........... The smell was extremely mild! I cut open the mattress ready to plug my nose and run but it was far less smelly than other mattresses I've purchased. I didn't even need to open a window. It puffed up fairly quickly but it hasn't reached the full 6 inches yet but it's only been open for 3 hours. It's even super comfy despite not being fully puffed up. I think this was a fantastic mattress for the price, if you need an inexpensive mattress quickly I definitely recommend this one. ... show more

We haven't slept on it yet (toddlers 4 & 6) but the quality and feel so far after finally pulling then out of the box is so nice. Everything I was looking for for a loft bed. I'm putting loft and bunk bed in this review because when shopping around, nothing read specifically for these types of frames to help me pick a mattress. I needed a skinny but comfortable bed so that we can use the built in guardrails for protection of falling out. My children also sweat like crazy while they sleep and these beds are very cool to the touch. Can't wait u til they finally get out of my bed and into their own again!! This was probably one of the BEST purchases I’ve made on amazon, and I shop WEEKLY!!!! My kids love it it’s very comfortable we made DIY bed frames to go with it, I’m pregnant and even I enjoy laying on their beds! I love the cooling gel that’s what made all the difference in my choice of purchase! There were many other options, but the fact that it’s a cooling gel and the other reviews helped my decision making. Our 2 year old sleeps on it so I can’t say that I can speak on the quality of sleep with this mattress, however..it has worked perfectly for us, it feels like good quality and is comfortable. My only issues are this: the corners of ours never fully puffed up so they’re not fully square and that’s kind of annoying. It is bigger than a standard twin. We use it in a bunk bed with another mattress on top that fits the same dimensions of the twin bunk perfectly..this mattress sits over the frame. It’s a tad bit bigger than standard on all sides. It only really noticeable because it’s used on a bunk bed for us, but it’s not a huge deal just mildly annoying like the weird corners. It came perfectly sealed, no offensive odor or strong toxic smells..complexly clean, so overall we’re happy for the cheap price tag and what we received. ... show more

This picture is after 48 hours, but it expanded quickly. After opening we left the house for a few hours and came back to an almost fully expanded bed the most I did was adjust the fabric on the corners to help it continue expanding and not to have dropped corners. After about 18hrs it hasn’t expanded any further but we have left it out to settle. It is super soft and if you are an adult I wouldn’t get the 6inch but it is super comfortable regardless and a great size for toddlers-kids my daughter loves it and it does stay cool ... show more

Well, what can I say, for the price I knew I couldn't go wrong. I kept my expectations low because, well, it's cheap. I didn't need anything too fancy, it's a big girl training bed for my 2 year old who will likely end up peeing all over it and will need to be replaced in another year anyways, so I took the chance. But when I received the package it was packaged wonderfully, beautifully made and after making her bed, I crawled in myself and took a nap! The memory foam is awesome and I slept like a baby *slight pun intended*. She must love it too, because she slept throughout the night even longer than normal her first night sleeping on it.
