We just bought a couple mattresses that were over $1000 and this cool gel mattress is by far superior! I recommend getting a mattress cover/pad, Just make sure that it’s waterproof, as you do not want moisture in foam! Perfect Short Queen Mattress – Cool, Supportive, and Great Quality

I’ve been really impressed with this Cool Gel 8” Short Queen Memory Foam Mattress. It arrived compressed in a box, and once opened it expanded quickly and was ready to use within a few hours. There was very little odor, which was a nice surprise compared to other memory foam mattresses I’ve tried. The medium-firm feel is just right. It has enough support to keep your back aligned but still provides that comfortable memory foam contouring. It relieves pressure really well around the shoulders and hips, making it comfortable whether you sleep on your back or side. One thing I really like is the cool gel layer. Memory foam mattresses can sometimes trap heat, but this one does a good job staying cooler throughout the night. The breathable cover also helps with airflow and feels soft to the touch. The short queen size fits perfectly in RVs or smaller spaces where a standard queen is too long, and the 8-inch profile still feels supportive without being overly bulky. Overall, this mattress offers excellent comfort, good support, and great value for the price. So Happy With This Mattress on Our Hospital Bed Frame

I purchased this for my father, he is a double amputee and stuck in bed most of the day as he adjust. He has Hospital Bed frame that is adjustable so I did TONS of research trying to find the BEST mattress I could for him as he has been stuck on the generic hospital mattresses for over a year now. I have to say I was very happy with this purchase but my Dad was REALLY HAPPY with this purchase. He wanted something firm and something that would hold shape, something where we wouldn't be sinking in the bed and offered some stability. This mattress did it all for him. He wanted something with coils as he felt that would hold shape best but on an adjustable bed frame a mattress with coils is not possible. He was able to get up and sit up with ease, he sleeps were much better and comfier on this mattress and he wasn't sinking in which was very important to him especially with Physical Therapy. This mattress took shape quick, and as others have said the top is soft almost a gel like feel but the core itself is firm so if you are looking for a firm mattress this is it. We only had for a few days but as of now this is "the best sleep I had in over a year" my dad's exact words. Seeing him being able to sit himself up and have the confidence to be able to sit up, stay up and on the side of the bed for over on hour was the best gift I could have given him. His previous mattresses had a lot of movement during his PT session's which would throw him off some. So the mattress not only offers him a comfy sleep it also offers him the stability he needs during his PT session's. **Sooo... we had to adjust the size of the mattress, a standard hospital bed fame is 34 inches wide, and this mattress is 39 inches wide. It was NO PROBLEM. Seriously, I took an electric craving knife YES, the kind you use at Thanksgiving to cut your turkey and sliced right through the mattress with ease AND straight as could be. It took me about 20 minutes to cut the mattress. The mattress is holding shape just fine and my Dad says even now the mattress is one of BEST he has had to sleep on.** So YES this will work on a hospital bed frame, it WILL adjust with the different positions an adjustable bedframe has to offer and YES this mattress can be cut with NO damage being done and the mattress will hold the SAME shape as the day you purchased it. ... show more

Worth every penny spent. Cool to the touch !

Purchases on February 2nd received it February 4th. It was exactly as the picture shown here on amazon. I was a bit afraid that the mattress will be too firm due to other reviews stating that its like sleeping on the floor. Upon opening the 75lb box it came in compressed. Cut open the bag and slid the mattress onto my platform bed. Within 30 minutes from me gathering up the empty box and bags to be taken out the mattress was up to 6 inches already. I touched the mattress and it was super soft. Super cool to the touch. With all items being chemically treated I was expecting a chemical smell. Although the smell is not over powering where you would have to leave the room, the smell level from the mattress of 10 being the most strong and 1 being the lowest. I'd give the smell a 3. You can smell it if you lay in the bed but it tend to help with me letting the bed expand with the fan pointed at the bed for a few hours. Came back and put the mattress sheets on it and the smell level went to a low 2. The firmness in this mattress would be a medium to me and I am 127lbs and my husband is 200lbs and he said its plush to him. So I'm thinking weight has to do with the mattress firmness. It is indeed not like sleeping on the floor. This bed forms to your body the floor does not! I would have given this a 5 star had the smell not given me a mild headache. But that does not take away from this mattress quality and all accurate description. We went from a $1200 mattress to this mattress and we wouldnt trade it for the world. It is comfortable and when the kids jump in bed you'll probably feel a 4 out of a 10 , still decent for a affordable gel memory foam. Question is will i refer this or buy it again, I would and I would recommend letting it expand fully and air it out for 24 hours before sleeping in it. ... show more

Camping Mattress

Bought this for my camper. The mattress that was in it was old and very uncomfortable. As soon as i put this on the bed, It seemed like it was gonna be very comfortable. Was very easy getting it out of the plastic and putting on the bed, just had to have my husband help as it was a bit heavy. Cant wait till it gets the size its suppose to be so i can test it out. Will leave an update when that happens. Shipping was very fast. Was very impressed. It has a weird smell to it but im sure its because it was in the plastic. Its a nice sunny day today so have all the windows open so that should help. UPDATE: Slept on it last night and it was not comfortable at all to me. Its very very firm!! Tossed and turned all night long. My whole body was hurting so bad. Its so hard!! Im sure if you like firm, this mattress would be for you. I like somewhat firm but this was a bit too firm. Over 24 hours later and the top corners are still pressed down, they did not expand like the rest of the bed which caused my head to be downhill. UPDATE: 6 days later. Its risen as far as its going to. The top corners still are pinched down and didnt rise up all the way. Still cant sleep on the mattress. Its still VERY firm. Its a very nice mattress but just too firm for me and the ends didnt rise all the way up. They gave me a full refund and suppose to have it within 3-5 days. ... show more
