This mattress is a great* value. *- but that does NOT count how long it lasts - because I don't know yet. I live alone. I sleep in the middle of my bed. This means I don't get much from flipping and/or rotating my mattress. So I don't want to spend a lot on a mattress. I slept over an hour extra the first two nights I slept on it (I'm retired). But, it's not perfect. The guide / instructions were at the bottom of the box. I didn't find them until the mattress was expanding on the bed frame. The box SHOULD have opening instructions printed on it. The instructions do NOT tell you which side is the 'top' (w/ the gel-infused memory foam). I figured it's the side withOUT the zipper. BUT - since the zipper is NOT on the very edge of the mattress, I don't know if it will be felt if/when I flip the mattress. I will want to flip the mattress in winter so I'm NOT on the 'cooling gel foam'. If I can't flip the mattress (w/o feeling the zipper), I'll put a blanket on the mattress before putting the sheets on. And speaking of gel-infused memory foam... my last mattress was foam. It lasted over 15 yrs. But I went thru three (or 4?) memory foam toppers. I expect to be removing (cutting off?) the gel-infused memory foam off this mattress in 4-5 years, and buying a topper. The gel-infused memory foam is very soft. The first time I crawled to the center (where I sleep), I was concerned. But when I lay down, the mattress is nice and firm. I'm still getting use to how soft the top is. ... show more

First off this bed is great. I originally went on amazon to find a memory foam pad for my very uncomfortable 600$+ bed. Only to help my very pregnant wife sleep more comfortably. To my amazement foam pads are expensive $$$. Any way started looking at memory foam beds to compare prices some are very expensive and had very mixed reviews. I had heard of classic brands before and saw good reviews and for the prices that they offered i was willing to take a shot to make my wife happy. Looked at the 10.5 inch cool gel memory foam bed and the 8 inch. Prices went up on the 10.5 inc and figured if she doesn't like it well then what do i do with such a big bed any way went with the 8 inch and it arrived fast and quick box was torn up but the mattress was well rolled tight and sealed under very thick plastic. It came out easy and with out any damage and with in a few short hours it had almost fully expanded. I have had it for a few weeks and all ready i love it and she dose to. No tossing and turning. No waking up with pins and needles in arms or pains in the back or neck from the odd sleeping habits we have. Its the right amount of firmness for support yet soft and comfortable. Very pleased with product will never go back to conventional mattress again. Plan on handing the 8 inch down to my 3 yr old and up grading to the 10.5. Only because the 8inch looks a little funny in my giant bed frame. I recommend you try this cant beat the price ... show more

We chose this to replace the cheap OEM mattress in our travel trailer. (When I took the old mattress out, I folded it over to get it out the door and carry it up to our storage room. It was a cheap mattress.) I was a bit leery when it arrived in a 14" square by 5 foot long box. A mattress? In a box? We took it out to the trailer pulled it out of the box into the trailer. Now I have a 14" diameter by 5 foot long Boudain sitting on the foot of the bed. This ain't never gonna work. Ain't no way. WRONG! After carefully splitting the wrapper and unrolling it, and removing all of the wrapping, the mattress started to ....re-inflate. There's no other word for it. After 5 minutes, it was about 85% of it's full size. My wife couldn't stand it anymore and climbed on it and lay down. And moaned, lol. IT's that comfortable. I had to explain to her that it still wasn't finished, and that it would continue to expand over the next day or so. We finally got away for a weekend about 2 weeks later, and Oh, my! the difference. Neither one of us woke up in the mornings with a sore backs or shoulders like we did with the mattress that was in there before. Fast forward a couple of months, and we decided to replace our travel trailer with a newer, bigger one. We kept the mattress. I put the fold-over one back in to trade-in the trailer. I ain't stupid, lol. This mattress is good enough, that I am thinking about one to replace the $1500 king-size in out bedroom. Thinking seriously about it. We'll see. ***As always, I have neither asked for, nor received, any compensation for my review. This is my own, un-biased opinion. (And lots of it!)*** ... show more

    • really nice mattress but maybe not the best to sleep on each night
This seems like a very good quality mattress. We bought it for a guest bedroom and though no one has slept on it yet, it looks really nice and feels very comfortable when we have laid on it. It's quite firm and the type of mattress that is nice and quiet when you move or roll over. I have to say though, it smells really really strong when you first get it. I'm super sensitive to toxic chemical smells and this one was really pretty bad. We opened the window and left the ceiling fan on, with the door closed for 2 (TWO!!!) whole days and I can still smell that thing each time I walk in the room and by now it's been like over a week, maybe two. I'm hoping once I cover it with a zippered mattress pad and throw some sheets and blanket on it, I will smell it less. But honestly, I probably wouldn't be able to sleep on it and I'd DEFINITELY NOT buy it for my kids to sleep on because they might suffer from lung or brain disorders from inhaling all those chemicals each night. It's ok for a guest to sleep on for a night or two though. Unless the toxic chemical smell ever goes away, then maybe I'd reconsider my review and give it an extra star. ... show more

We bought this mattress over 5 years ago and have been thrilled. It holds up extremely well, we bought a second mattress for our guest room and when I lay in there on the new one I can hardly tell a difference from our daily use. If you don’t like a firm mattress I would not recommend, unless you plan to use a topper. ... show more
