To clear up a lot of confusion with this mattress, here is an Honest to God review.... Summary: - Mattress was easy to assemble (cut package and roll/air out) - Smell was not that bad... It's expected, so have a fan ready and air it out. - Firm version of memory foam (Perfect for bigger guys like me) But I have a hunch it breaks in over time. - Quality seemed very nice. I just received this mattress yesterday ( 8/5/2015 ). The packaging was as expected, the Cardboard box was in rough shape but the heavy duty plastic on the inside was untouched. I'm a 6'2" 230lb athletic man that spends most of my free time in the gym, so getting the package onto my bed frame by myself was no problem at all. To a regular or smaller person, you might need an extra hand carrying the 90+lb package. Upon opening, I cut the plastic and everything went as expected. The mattress inflated itself within 30 minutes with the corners lagging behind (I just hit the corners with my hand to fluff them up and help them catch up) . I let it sit for 24 hours before laying on it. The smell is strong, but it's not as bad as people make it out to be. Looking at the other reviews, some of these people must have had a bad mattress, or simply can't take a little odor for a few days (they might be sensitive). Here's the biggest point... The mattress is a very firm version of memory foam. Right out of the box the mattress doesn't give in as much as you may think. It's perfect for someone like me because, like I've said, I'm 230 lbs and athletic. This thing offers the perfect support for me, giving in to my heavy points and supporting my lighter areas yet I can see somebody who's much lighter having issues. I say to those people, give the mattress time to break in. I'll update this in a few months with a follow up. Tonight will be the first night I sleep on it, and I couldn't be more excited. The 10 minutes I spend laying on it this morning almost made me fall right asleep again. I'll keep this post updated because there seems to be a lot of confusion on this mattress. * Off topic * The first one I ordered got mixed up in the mail due to the carrier, therefor I got my mattress 3 days late. Amazon's customer service was perfect and I couldn't have asked for a better crew to solve the problem. ** UPDATE (08/07/2015) ** - Last night was the first night that I slept on the mattress and I can honestly say I had a great night sleep. I didn't wake up in the middle of the night at all. I was cool all night (Granted I had a 17" box fan blowing directly over me) and the only time I got hot was when my lady friend came over earlier. I'm usually a very hot sleeper and people who complain about the heat of this thing should invest in a fan. Even without the fan it was very cool at first, but it did start warming up slightly after 30 minutes or so of laying in the same spot - but it wasn't that bad. I can say that I'm very pleased with my first night on this thing. *** UPDATE 08/24/2015 Sleeping on this thing has been a pleasure. It's not revolutionizing, but it's much more comfortable than my last mattress. The smell is pretty much gone although it did take awhile. The smell was honestly not that bad and the only way you could really smell it was if you stuck your nose in the mattress. I don't wake up in the middle of the night anymore from tossing and turning. That's a huge plus for me because on my old mattress It felt like I had a cycle of waking up at 3 or 4am from tossing and turning. By comparison to a lot of top brands this mattress is just as good and at a much much cheaper price. Shipping was fast, at first it comes rolled up and folded in half in a heavy box vaccume sealed. This is a multi density foam mattress that is soft enough to provide comfort, firm enough for support and so far maintains its shape and comes with two pillows good when sleeping on back but too high and firm for sleeping on sides or face down. The pillows are better than the expensive bobs brand though. I would recomment, especially with their trial return policy. It doesn't take long for the mattress to appear to inflate and I slept on it only after about an hour or two of inflating it. Privides great comfort, no sinking feeling, cool sleep it doesn't heat up trapping body heat. ... show more

UPDATE: 4 years later…. This is still the best mattress for me. No back pain. Still like new. Conforms to my body. It will indent some, (literally have had to turn it 2 times in 4 years) but all you have to do is turn it. And the indented part goes away. It’s truly the best mattress. I took a risk buying a lower cost mattress and I am so glad I did, better than any $1000.00 + mattress I have ever slept on. I bought the 10 inch for my daughter and she LOVES it. First purchase had a smell that went away (see below) but my daughters didn’t smell at all. All the luxuries of an expensive mattress for a much lower price. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Ok, so my pics are of an unfinished bedroom, and a bed that I just painted white from black. So the bed only has sheets on it. As you can see, this mattress is 14 inches and is big. It's all of every bit of 14 inches and started rising before I could get it all of the way out of the plastic. It was at maximum within 5 minutes. The pillows... I LOVE. We bought an original box spring to go with it, and I have to raise my leg high and climb up in it. My dog cannot jump on it or get off by herself. I should have gotten a thin box spring, because now my mattress is way higher than the bedside tables. But I DO NOT CARE... I LOVE LOVE this mattress. The ONLY bad thing is the smell. The smell that came with mine was very strong, and even stronger in the pillows. So bad, I had to throw the pillows outside of my room to sleep. So tonight I will try to put the pillows in the dryer with softener sheets to see if that helps. I have slept on this mattress for 3 nights so far. I can tell a HUGE different. I have lower back pain, and bad hip pain that will shoot down my leg while sleeping. I have also been doing manual labor... and I thank god for this mattress, as I know my back would have been worse on my other mattress. If I lay on my back, it conforms to my back and feels great. If I lay on my side, I barely get hip pain. I don't toss and turn nearly as much in this. This is close to firm, but nothing like a firm mattress with coils would be. I have not noticed it being hot at all. And I live in Texas and it's mid summer. I just hope the smell goes away. It seems to slowly be going away. I probably should have not covered it right away and let it air out for a few days, but I just couldn't wait to get into it. I am so happy with this purchase. I feel like the regular price is steal, and I got it on prime day... which was even more of a steal. If I am already sleeping in this bed so well from day one.... I cannot imagine how much better it will get. I was worried being over weight (215) that it wouldn't support me as well... IT DOES! I feel like I am sleeping on a mattress that cost 5k. I would say (being that my hips are so bad) that this does well for pressure points. Pillows are kind of thin... but I like thinner pillows... and they seem very nice. Once the smell is gone, I will use them. Oh also.... mine is a queen... and I bought a queen box spring. The mattress is about 3-4 inches wider than the box spring is so I just centered it. I love that this mattress fills in the gaps on my bed. My pillow will no longer fall behind the mattress as I sleep. ***UPDATE*** The smell is still there. I had to put in a Fabrese plug in. I do not understand why this mattress still smells. It’s almost a mildew smell. I love this mattress. I’m not sure what to do with the smell. Sucks I took a star away for it. It still sleeps perfect and I enjoy getting into it. I just want the smell gone. ***ANOTHER UPDATE**** Smell is gone. It has taken a year or more for the smell to be completely gone. But worth it. I have had it for two years now and it’s amazing. Others posted is sags. I weigh a lot, not gonna lie, and mine doesn’t sag. It did indent a little, so I just turned it and it goes away. Nothing like a regular mattress that permanently indents. I still love this mattress and my back thanks me for getting it. It’s not soft, but soft enough. When you first get in, it feels firm, but the foam slowly confirms to your body and is great for back issues! Soft mattresses hurt my back. This mattress gives perfect support. People that got one that sink, got a lemon. This mattress is tough and holds its shape. I would buy again. And may for other rooms. I don’t use the pillows. Too soft. I had to buy Ikea contoured pillows. They work best for me. I have gotten hot on it, but I think it’s me and not the mattress (I’m 50) so I bought a Bedfan, and it solved my issues. We have been sleeping on this mattress for almost a month now and I must say it is comfortable. Took about 24 hours for it to fully rise. It is on the firm side as most people stated but it does not cause pressure points. Back pain has been relieved from sleeping on this mattress. You do not feel the other person move at all in this bed. Overall I feel like this mattress is worth the money. 2/1/24 and we are still very happy with this mattress. It is not hot and the firmness has stayed even on my husbands side of the bed. We both sleep much betters ... show more
