I got these to replace the stake method for my pop up. I went fishing and set this up on a dirt trail by a pond/lake for fishing. The gravel was so packed I could not drive stakes into the ground effectively. This prompted me to buy a variety of these to be better prepared next time. Unfortunately, my canopy has six legs so I got several different one to experiment with until I could find what works best. These are really good. They are strong. The handles have held so far. The velro is ok. I have not spilled these yet but I can see the potential. These are really heavy and velcro will only go so far to hold these shut. These may be waterproof on the outside but moisture is getting in somehow, if not humidity, when you do not dump them. Do yourself a favor...you may have Herculean strength but fill these close to your destination. They get heavy. With every step, these got more heavy. These work well in moderate wind. I have not tested in heavy wind but these do what I needed them too. Don't go fishing wondering if you will have to fish your canopy out of the lake.

What I like: I actually acquired these bags for a very unorthodox intended purpose. I had been researching some unique physical fitness programs and stumbled upon some videos showing people using unusual, difficult-to-balance, heavy objects. Using these bags in conjunction with some of my standard barbells and other hardware and accessories, I have developed my own awkward and unique exercises which really challenge my core in new ways! The bags can be filled with many different types of materials for desired weightiness. I have total confidence in the rugged and durable materials of the bags for safe use during my personal workout routine. What I don't like: There's nothing I don't like about the product. I would certainly order this item again.

The part of the Country I live in gets a lot of wind, it also routinely gets over 100 degrees in the Summer. Our canopies get used at sporting events and when we go to the range. My go to for securing the canopies has always been to drive a stake into the ground through each foot. This has had varying degrees of success. More wind almost always equals less success. The stakes tend to get pulled right back up from the ground. My wife said we needed these and she's always right so I decided to give them a try. I filled them with sand from our grandkids sand box. I don't think they'll miss it but the neighborhood cats might. I filled them to nearly the top which I later found out was a mistake. There is a Velcro strip at the top that holds all the sand in. If you overfill the bags every time you pick up the bags by the handles the Velcro will open. There are also four Velcro strips for securing the bags to your canopies legs. These worked well and kept the canopy from blowing away in 30 mph gusts. The interior of the bag has some kind of coating and it is working well to keep the sand from leaking out. I didn't weigh the filled bags so I cant say how heavy they are but I wouldn't try to carry all of them at the same time. This was a good acquisition.

We got these bags to put them on our kiddo's swing set. Unfortunately, the loops are pretty small (as these are made for canopy legs. We can still use them with some zip ties, but it would have been nice to have bigger loops to begin with.
