Disclaimer: I am using this product for a porch swing, not a canopy, so the bags are at a slight angle, rather than verticle. I don't know if that makes a difference. Attaching these sandbags to the legs of our porch swing did a pretty good job of keeping it from tipping over under windy conditions. Unfortunately after less than 2 months of use, when the wind did get strong enough to blow the porch swing over backward it cause the seam of one of the four bags to rip where the bag and the velcro meet. Perhaps using a heavy duty plastic bag as a liner will solve my problem, or perhaps filling the sangbag with gravel or rocks will solve my problem. The good news is that they held my 10×10 canopy in place all day even though it was really windy and at least one other canopy at the event blew over despite weights. The bad news is that I discovered one of the bags had sprouted a hole that was pouring out and by the end of the event. This was my first time using them. I wanted to like them, but they won't be reusable. I also worry about how the velcro at the top hold when you lift by the handles. ... show more

I purchased these to get rid of the water jugs I had been using to hold down a 10x10 Awning. They work great, fill them with sand or rocks No worries when the 30 mph winds came through. However, unless these companies that I review and promote start rewarding me, this will be my last review.

These were very easy to set up with no directions. Fill with sand and seal velcro. We have moved them a few times and the velcro is holding. For the price, they work great and do the job!!!
