There are different grades of stainless steel. Higher quality has more chromium content. This looks good new. This cookware gets stained and marked up just by every day use. I make sure nothing ever gets close to burning because you can not get the mark it leaves out by any method except sanding it with 3000 grit sandpaper. ... show more

I specifically ordered a set of STAINLESS STEEL cookware because I do not want TEFLON. Both the frying pans have a Teflon coating. The sticker says "QuanTanium". I looked it up and it says it's PTFE (aka Teflon)
