  • Great watch, but enormous
Full disclosure: I wound up returning this watch. I am a military pilot so an accurate watch with Zulu (UTC) time is very appealing. I found the setup to be pretty simple by following the instructions. Most features on this watch are used by simply turning the crown to the desired setting and cycling through the lower button - the upper button doesn't seem to be used for much other than the backlight. The build quality is fantastic. With the bracelet, it's lighter than my (smaller) glycine combat sub on a NATO. It feels rugged, sturdy, but still retains fine details and precise clicks. The main hands are clear and visible with good contrast despite the busy face, which was a pleasant surprise when I saw the watch in person for the first time. The watch itself just looks awesome and was complimented the first time I wore it. what I didn't like: There is a small dedicated 24hr UTC dial at the top of the face. Due to its small size, it is obscured by the main watch hands for like 20 minutes every hour (between :50 and :10 on the minutes) and between the hours of 11 and 1 o clock. Effectively a useless dial to me. You can put UTC time on the small digital display which is nice, however you now lose out on having a day/date display (which I love having because I am dumb and forget what day it is constantly). The E-6b bezel is cool, and despite its small size, the numbers are crisp and legible. I used it for a fuel check a few times for laughs while flying. Obviously unless you take it off, you're going to be reading numbers upside down. One thing I didn't care for is that the inner ring of the computer is under the crystal, which makes an odd contrast. Older versions of the watch had the entire E-6b outside the bezel. Finally, the thing I disliked most and the reason I ultimately returned it: the size. It's massive. I wanted a rugged, accurate watch I could wear 24/7; deploy with, something to become a part of me. I felt like a clown wearing this watch, like a child who snuck into his dad's room to wear his clothes. It was so big I felt like someone strapped a hockey puck to my wrist. If you're a gorilla man, it'll probably work for you. I was blessed with 6 1/2" wrists and it absolutely did not work for me. As much as I liked the features of the watch, I felt so ridiculous wearing it that I rarely did and ultimately sent it back. If you like big watches, or you're a big dude, it's great. I looked at thousands of watches looking for something with this many features and there is nothing else that comes close, even among $5000+ watches. If you've got smaller wrists, I'd pass. ... show more

  • What's not to love?
My third eco-watch. All have been great. This one is beautiful and functional. Love the titanium finish and lighter weight.

  • I am madly in love with this watch
After my wife purchased my very first Citizen watch for me (Eco-Drive P-CAT) for my birthday this past March, I fell in love with Citizen. So much so I started looking at other Citizen watches to purchase and I came across this model (Promaster Skyhawk which is also an Eco-Drive) in which I purchased this and it arrived soon after. Like my first Citizen watch, it was quite difficult to set the time especially since it did not come with instructions. However I was able to watch youtube videos on how to set this watch just as I have done before with my first citizen watches and was successful in setting this watch. Just like with my first Citizen watch, this watch blew me away. My Promaster is slight bigger than my P-Cat yet because it is made from Titanium, it is noticeably lighter than my P-CAT. This watch is very light on my wrist and very comfortable to wear not to mention the technology in this watch is outstanding. You cannot go wrong with this watch but then again it is a Citizen watch so you can’t go wrong if you go with Citizen period. Beautiful watch. I am looking foreard to purchasing my next Citizen Watch. ... show more

  • Great watch.
Great looking watch for guys who like aviation watches, or just watches in general. I have XL sized hands and it fits nicely.

  • Nice design. Unfortunately the crown and stem were faulty.
I really liked the watch until 10 months in, with the exception being the annoyance of having to switch between calendar mode and dual time mode; you can't display both simultaneously . After 10 month the crown and stem completely disengaged from the watch when I pulled the crown as usual to adjust the mode. You would think this is covered by warranty. Not so. Citizen apparently exclude the crown from warranty (Seiko, their main competitor, does not), and therefore I was initially quoted over $350 to repair it. To me that is inexcusable, especially when a brief Google search shows others have had the same issue. My guess is that whatever internal part keeps the stem in place is of poor quality, and/or the need to frequently switch between calendar and world time modes inevitably wears out the part that holds the stem in place (in which case it is a design flaw). ... show more

  • Very good as a daily wear.
This watch has a lot of features that you need to understand to get the most out of it. I have been a watch collector for years and this has taken over my everyday watch need. I can't think of a major issue I have with the watch. I have this and the identical watch as the Blueangels version in stainless and the titanium version is a much better choice. The weight difference is very noticeable and welcome. I the atomic clock signal was stronger but the watch has not failed to receive an update, daylight savings time, so it has always been dead-on accurate. The "Super Titanium" material that Citizen touts is everything it says it is. I noticed that the stainless version scratches easier than the Ti watch. Not small but if you can wear a 44mm then it is well worth the money to take a look and try it. The manual and online Youtube videos are great. This is just my opinion but owning watches that cost 5 to 7 times as much I feel pretty safe with this recommendation. Good luck. I have three Citizen watches, one over 15 years old, and have not had a bit of a problem so I have no idea how Citizen is with warranty repairs. ... show more
