I purchased the set of two lamps for a guest bedroom. I love the touch feature which allows you to adjust the lighting to three different levels. The inclusion of the usb and power outlet in the base is a great addition. The lights are very sturdy and attractive.

These lamps have a nice country-type vibe to them with the rattan body, but with some modern conveniences built-in -- those being the extra 110v outlet and two USB power plugs in the base. The two come in a surprisingly small box, but that's possible because the lampshades are actually ones you assemble yourself. You just unroll the material for each shade, clip them to the metal upper and lower shade frames, pull it tight, and they connect at the velcro sewn into the ends. That the self-assembled lampshades look pretty much indistinguishable from ones that come already put together (unless you're specifically looking for the slightly thicker seam where they join) is impressive. Other than the lampshades, only minimal assembly is required: Just do the shades, attach those, screw in the bulbs, plug in and you're done. The height and width are as described (~23" high and 11 wide). The kit comes with a pair of dimmable LED bulbs. Power is via a touch of the gold metal base, at which point the lamp lights up at its dimmest setting. Two more touches cycles through a medium and then highest brightness. Finally one more touch is off. I like that they dim, but I think it would be more natural to have it come on at the brightest setting rather than lowest, and then you work your way down through the other brightness settings. And, I also wish these had a memory so when you turn them on they come on at the last brightness level from when turned off the last time. I do think that at about $50 each -- and even though they are nice looking and functioning lamps -- they are a bit pricey. But where they do get some bonus points is in having the extra electrical outlet and two USB power ports built into the base. Yeah, it is a little bit like a hotel lamp in that regard. But the reality is everyone has phones that need charging at night (thus the USB or electrical is handy), or other devices that may need to plug into a regular outlet. So having them built into the lamp saves having charging cords laying all over the floor. Definitely nice lamps, and we will enjoy having them in our guest room. But my four star rating (vs 5) is driven by the sequencing of the dimming function, lack of a brightness memory setting, as well as overall price / value considerations. But make no mistake if you need a nice, matching pair of lamps, and like the rattan look, these will do nicely. ... show more
