Mostly easy to put together but my husband and I asked the kids for help holding it steady while lifting lol. So I read a lot of reviews about rain affecting it or collapsing it. It rained twice the minute we put it up lol but no problems yet. 🤞 It does let some water through the top but it doesn’t bother us. We just wipe down patio table. We used stakes and cinder blocks around each leg and it seems sturdy now. Before, it was so light it moved easily in wind. We strung solar lights in the middle and zip tied electric lights taut around the section people mentioned would pool water so hopefully that really won’t happen!! We tied up the walls when it’s scary windy but we get them out when the breeze is too chill and we want to block it. Or if we want a little extra privacy. It’s not bug proof, but it helps to have the mosquito net. (What helps most is we hung buckets of spearmint from the frame. Sprayed it all over with peppermint oil/water mix to ward spiders and wasps. We have a mosquito zapper nearby that gets em distracted, and the tiki torches fire pit smoke help.) All in all, it’s beautiful and it’s got us and the kids wanting to be outside all the time. Even if it doesn’t last forever, it feels like it was a great purchase. ❤️ ... show more

    • TWO YEARS AND GOING STRONG!
I don't usually do reviews, but this gazebo is so worth the money I had to write one!! We just hit the two year mark of having it, and it is still going strong! The curtains are just now starting to show some minor wear and tear. We had a brutal windy spell this Spring, torrential rain for weeks, and it withstood everything mother nature threw at us. The zippers still work fine and the frame is solid as a rock. We screwed it into our wooden deck, and it is so sturdy we are considering using it as a frame for an enclosed room. It was surprisingly easy to put together, as long as you read the directions and make sure the pieces are going the right direction. Oops. Even with a mishap during assembly, my fiancé and I put it up in just a couple hours. I'd give it 10 stars if I could! ... show more

    • Cozy and attractive.
My husband wanted a smaller canopy with a lower roof because he likes "cozy". For that, it's a five star. The look is great, the curtains were easy to put up. My box did not arrive with instructions, and the box was beat up. God bless You-Tube. Two of my ceiling frame sections were slightly dented, but it didn't affect the structure. I did e-mail the manufacturer and they responded quickly, so they get five stars for that. The four stars is because the weight and quality of the frame is dubious. This unit blew and tipped in some very mild wind. So I recommend sandbags. Mine has not moved since I installed them. I do like the fact you can order a new canopy if this one fails. It is a lovely unit and I have my two bamboo chairs, loveseat, and coffee table in mine, so it's large enough. I did hang some lights and in the evening, it's downright pretty. Heavy and well made for the price. We have it up on our deck, unbolted, and it’s been through a few storms and windy days and it hasn’t even budged! We do have indoor/outdoor carpeting on our deck, I’m not sure if it would slide on a bare wooden deck, if left unbolted? It stays dry throughout the shorter rains (and it’s a treat to be under it while it’s raining) but it will eventually start leaking during the longer storms. I wish I thought to add some waterproofing spray prior to putting it up! The box it comes in is very heavy and large and will require some muscle just to carry it from the curbside to the backyard. One should plan to open the box out front and carry the pieces individually if they don’t have this muscle available! 🤔 Assembly was not difficult but could have been made easier by less nuts and bolts and more foldable parts. But all in all, we love this canopy and definitely recommend it for this price! ... show more

I bought this gazebo as a gift for my wife for Christmas. We put it up for Mother's day. While I did have an engineer organizing the set up, the whole procedure took less than an hour and went smoothly. It is now September 3. The location I chose is in an alcove of my house protected by two of my walls. My neighbor's garage covers another 45 degrees of building. Throughout the summer, the canopy is mostly water-resistant. That said, when rain comes down, it hits the top of the gazebo. I actually put an alexa underneath the center of the gazebo, which has survived several rainstorms. A credit to the material used in the gazebo covering. All that said, with second rainstorm that this gazebo encountered, a cyst of water began to develop. I let it go to see if it got worse. Not surprisingly, it did. As of September the cyst that develops reaches a maximum depth of one foot, with a width of two feet. When I contacted customer support, they are currently balking at this because their warranty states that there "whenever possible cover the product and/or place under with a patio or awning." Amazon said that it was a manufacturer's issue (it was well after the return date for amazon). The manufacturer refuses to do anything about this. To be clear, this is not unusually strong Wisconsin storms, nor snowstorms. It is protected on two sides of a building, and the canopy cannot survive a single summer. ... show more
