Assembly was quick and easy. The chairs are like Goldilocks…not to hard, not too soft but just right. I purchased them to furnish and office and am considering buying another for home. Great chair, great price!

This chair was great for the price and was very easy to put together. I would advise having 2 ppl to ensure the hole for the chair back lines up perfectly to connect with the base hole. This is truly and accent piece and not for everyday usage. I do rate this a 3 out of 5 for comfort and sturdiness.

I ordered this chair during Prime Days. It was a good buy and had some excellent reviews. I needed to replace a very old and comfortable chair because I felt it wasn't giving my back enough support as my primary sitting place. So I was looking for something firm rather that soft and squishy. Good points: It arrived ahead of schedule. It was well-packed and appeared clean and new. There were good directions that were easy to understand. It is firm. Some people might find that uncomfortable if they were expecting something they could sink into but I see it as a plus. It promotes good posture and I think I will like its firmness. Not so good points: I expect things to take me a bit longer than average to assemble because I am a small, older woman approaching the task by myself. The instructions were simple to understand but not necessarily to carry out. The back piece didn't slide into the guards correctly the first time and I had considerable difficulty getting it off again so that I could line it up better. (Take that as a warning: get it right the first time!) Once in place, it looked like it was all the way in but there was no satisfying "click" to reassure me (this is important for a reason). There is a bolt that one is supposed to screw in to the bottom piece from the underside of the chair, connecting the bottom to the back piece. The hole for the bolt didn't quite line up so that I could get the bolt straight in. This left me wondering whether the back piece was supposed to slide down just a bit further or whether it wasn't machined with optimal accuracy. After trying numerous things to get the back to slide down a bit more, I realized it simply wasn't going to happen. So how important is this bolt? It looked important so I charged up my Dremel to shave off just a little more wood so that the bolt could hit the hole straight (perpendicular). I was successful in this and the bolt screwed into the hole but not very far. I have to be satisfied with this. The screw at least engaged and it doesn't show that it doesn't go down all the way, so I'm trusting that it will hold up. I was also a bit disappointed in the color though I cannot say it was misrepresented. "Beige" is a range of colors generally composed of a mixture of light gray, yellow and brown. I would say this beige was heavy on the light grey. Hence, it is not the greatest match with my pale yellow walls but it'll do. The chair also smells a bit but I just unpacked it today so hopefully that will fade as most "new" smells do. I gave it 4 stars because overall I think the chair will meet my needs and was accurately described by the seller. I took away one star, however, because of the hassles with the assembly. (I've assembled much more complicated things with less annoyance.) ... show more

UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: I never heard from either Amazon nor the seller of these Christopher Knight MCM style chairs regarding an adjustment or refund for the extra money I paid to have them delivered and actually moved inside my house (on the date they specified) instead of just leaving them on my porch. I mentioned this in the my original review (see below). I guess I'll just have to write that off. I'm still glad to have ordered these and they look nice. ====================================== ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is the first time I've ordered furniture online based on just the photos, but taking into consideration many customer reviews for these chairs as well as other chairs s of similar style and color, I decided to take a chance. I shopped several brick and mortar stores as well, and other websites with similar "MCM styles" and these chairs were exactly the look and vibe I was looking for. I really like them and the assembly instructions were easy to follow. Once I had the first one assembled, the 2nd one was a breeze. Because the beige is a light color, I did place a blanket on the floor to keep them clean. They are very comfortable even if they are more firm than other chairs which I was able to physically test in stores, but the pricing was so much better and they look amazing in my space! Personally, I prefer the firmer feel to one that is too squishy. I also purchased the 5-year indoor furniture accident plan for them (This again was because it's my first time buying furniture online.) NOW THE REASON FOR THE THE GOOD NEWS/BAD NEWS: I'm very impressed with how fast these chairs were delivered, however right now, I'm only giving 4-stars because I also paid extra money to have them delivered to and brought into my house to any room I requested. My Amazon confirmation and tracking information told me they would be delivered Monday,10/18/2021, which was fine and that's what I planned for, however they were actually delivered FRIDAY, 10/15/2021. Because I had expected them 3 days later, I wasn't available when they actually arrived, so they were both dropped off on my front porch. Fortunately, the boxes were not too heavy I was able to move each of them into my living room by myself. For this reason, I'm not giving 4 stars, but would update and upgrade my review if Amazon or the seller credits back the additional special fee to my account. I will update this review in the future, if this happens. But I have to say, after just a couple of days admiring them in my living room, I am very pleased that I took a chance and would consider ordering from this vendor through Amazon again in the future. ... show more
