Great quality! I got the beige one and the color matches the photos really well. It looks and works just as expected. I like the subtle texture of the material, it looks elegant and clean. I especially love the smooth roll-up mechanism—just a gentle tug on the string and it goes up on its own. Perfect for a kid’s room, since they wouldn’t be able to reach it otherwise. Shade is fairly easy to install. The darkening material does a good job of blocking the light! It works like the old shade style in that it has a spring load on it that is adjustable. Factory setting of the spring is a bit weak so one will have to tighten it up a little. That is all I have to say about good. The rest is a whine: Material edges curl away from the window when pulled down. This allows a lot of light to pass along the edges. The shade I received has a 1/8 inch hole in the center field of the shade that allows a pin hole of light to pass. I assume it is a defect in the manufacturing. I'll get over it! This is installed in my bathroom to keep outside light from shining into the bedroom through the open door of the bathroom. It actually does a good job at that despite the light leakage. Because of the light leakage, I would not like this installed directly in my bedroom!

Heavy fabric but light still leaks out around the edges. There's no way I could get a tighter fit though so I'm getting used to it. The bottom rail is a nice brushed fairly heavy metal and a quick firm tug raises the shade. The timing took me a bit to master. But it just nicely and slowly raises the shade, not at all the roller shades of old. I'm very pleased.
