We found this shade which matched our dimensions and it's cordless which I like. My husband installed it and did a great job. He said it was pretty easy. I really love my new sunblocking shades, they seem strong and durable but i have had them for a few days so i can't speak on long term durability . I will come back to review them again in the near future. I bought 8 different sizes for my entire apt in the color grey/gray. They go up and down smoothly, look beautiful too. I really recommend them, my only wish is that the price was a little lower. I bought them during Prime day but still was a bit expensive, add labor to install all 8 of them and I have spent a small fortune on these. However I'm pleased with how well they look so I bite the bullet on the cost for now. I do have high expectations for them 😊 so I hope they don't disappoint me. Tks

Shade is fairly easy to install. The darkening material does a good job of blocking the light! It works like the old shade style in that it has a spring load on it that is adjustable. Factory setting of the spring is a bit weak so one will have to tighten it up a little. That is all I have to say about good. The rest is a whine: Material edges curl away from the window when pulled down. This allows a lot of light to pass along the edges. The shade I received has a 1/8 inch hole in the center field of the shade that allows a pin hole of light to pass. I assume it is a defect in the manufacturing. I'll get over it! This is installed in my bathroom to keep outside light from shining into the bedroom through the open door of the bathroom. It actually does a good job at that despite the light leakage. Because of the light leakage, I would not like this installed directly in my bedroom!

Got a few quotes for blinds custom made for some very long windows in my office. The quotes from most of the places that I had seen were between 800 and $1,000. I ordered these after taking measurements and received a confirmation email with the size. This fits perfectly and was very easy to install. Looks extremely professional and well done. Arrived much quicker than I expected. Definitely worth a shot to try at home as it is very easy to install yourself. Highly recommended we'll be using this company again

These DO indeed function as blackout shades. That is critical when you have a night worker in the family who needs to block out these sunny days. The cut is a perfect fit for the window, no side peeking. And they help control the heat from getting in. They have a soft feel compared to our old ones, but are still firm enough to hold their shape nicely. One minor detail, the cord is a few inches off-center, so if you are sensitive to that you have time to check it out. I don't know whether we got an oddball fluke, but we have chosen to be amused by it and appreciate it's slightly wonky personality. The kids love it and would be heartbroken if we returned it. It gave us a good laugh, now we wouldn't trade it for the world. This is the first time I have had roller shades that never roll up crooked. I love them.

Bleeds light around top and bottom despite great fit for width. (1st pic) The mounting bar is incredibly flimsy and bends creating a gap to the ceiling. Then there is an additional gap between the frame and the curtain. Both gaps bleed light heavily (see 2nd picture). A cheaper stick-on curtain worked much better for blacking out light (only sought to replace that because the stickiness didn't last, but I could by a couple of those for the price of one of these)(stick-on pull down shade in 3rd pic for light bleed comparison)

The blinds are extremely well made and only took a few minutes to install. I put mine inside the window box with an overhead installation. All that’s needed is a quick measurement for the holding brackets, mark the location, and attach the brackets. I did not need wall anchors for my install and put the screws directly into the drywall and underlying wood frame, so I only needed a screw driver. The anchors are provided if you need them. The aluminum frame of the blind then easily clips to the installed brackets. There is also a speed adjustment screw to control how fast the blind retracts. I’ll be purchasing more for the rest of the windows in my house. Make sure you determine where you will install your blind outside or inside the window box and measure accordingly.

The roller Blinds we purchased from ChrisDowa were 2 of the best buys ever from Amazon. The thermal blind material is excellent; white outside , beige inside to match the wall paint. The highlight of the deal is the installation kit. I am nearing 91 years of age; was able to install the first blind in an hour, the 2nd in 20 minutes. The result is neat and professional appearing.
