For outside mount, shade should be 4 - 6 wider than window frame, shade length should be at least 2 longer than the window length for better coverage.

Used in a bedroom. Very nice blinds, somewhat easy to install once you get the drill holes figured out. I wish there were a template for an inside mount so that the spacing for drilling the holes is more accurate. We had to redrill a second set of holes for the brackets as our measurement was off slightly, a template would help, as you cannot put these together, hold in place and then mark the drill holes, not that easy. The blinds are very good quality though and the chain for taking them up and down is nice and smooth.

Overall I'd say this is a great blackout shade. The hardware quality is slightly on the lower side--too much plastic in my opinion. But it does the job. Two little problems... for whatever reason there's a little edge on one of the parts that prevents the chain from hanging straight down. You can see this in a couple of the pics. The edge is small so it almost seams like just a mistake in the design. Oh well, just be aware of it. The second little problem is the installation. The instructions are lacking on detail, but no biggie. Some inspection reveals a spring loaded pin on one end... that helps a lot! But in terms of how far apart the ends should be, you just have to eyeball it. Mount one end, hold it up there, mark where the other end should go, screw it in. Just make sure it's level! Otherwise when you lower the shade, it may be quite noticeable it's not perfectly vertical.

These were pretty easy to install. It's just a matter of putting a few screws on. One side has a spring loaded pin that allows you to squeeze them in with a very tight fit. Make sure to note the orientation of the roller fabric and that you have it going the right direction because once it's installed is very difficult to get off ( we learned this the hard way). Once up it is awesome. It moves up and down effortlessly. It does a great job at blocking out the light. Definetly creates privacy. They look very nice, so much better than our metal horizontal blinds that were all bent up from the cat peeking out the window. One thing we really appreciate is the included safety book that holds the chain against the wall to help keep the kids and animals safe. These were the perfect upgrade that our bathroom window needed!

I wanted something that would be eye appealing, and this did the trick. It also is also a black out shade, and jacquard thermal material, as well as UV protected. This is exactly what I wanted. Also having a wide, but longer window in this room I needed a good sized shade. I have the 45"Wx72"L, in the beige. All of the components to put it up come in the package, and the installation was very easy. This is such a nicely constructed shade I feel that it will last a very long time. The pull chain, and the bottom rod are also very nice features. Very happy with this item, and the price is great for what you are getting. Better quality, longer lasting, and looks very nice.

The blind looks nice it’s just a little shorter in width than stated. My window measures 49” wide x 48” long, this blind states it is 48” x 72” and the outer part does but it says allow one inch on each side if mounting inside the window seal. Well if you measure the blind itself, it measures 46.5” which leaves a bigger gap than I like. I wish there had been a size 49” but no such luck just 48” or 50”. I would suggest offering a valance with it or even as an option to hide the brackets and also a way to shorten the chain if your window happens to be shorter than 72”. The blind comes with a plastic hook to mount on the wall to put the chain in to keep it attached and taunt but the chain is longer than my window so there is no way to make it work. Overall it looks pretty good, the material is pretty.

My window was 30 1/2, I chose size 30. When installing, I moved each bracket 1/4 from the frame. I liked that this shade has a metal weight on the bottom. Excellent shade, fits perfectly with my frame. Beautiful color, thick fabric with blackout layer. Metal chain works smooth.
