To use it, simply stick the bottom plate onto your build plate and start printing, peel up the top plate with finished prints, then peel off the top plate from the prints. Snap the top plate back into place for next round of printing. Feature: 1. Introducing the first ever removable, magnetically secured, build surface for hassle free model removal. • Works Just As It Should
The Creality Ender 3 pro Magnetic Bed does what it says it will. Just be sure you are committed to using this bed for a substantial length of time since total removal of this glued on bed from the underlying metal base isn't so easy.. I have two Ender 3's and only one of these is fitted with the magnetic bed. The other remains bare and ready for any surface I choose to clip on. This gives me the flexibility to choose which printer I will use for each job, I hope this helps. By the way, I'm not particularly wealthy. I just got the second Ender 3 on a great deal. ... show more

  • If this product has been available for more than the past month or so I'll kick myself.
Why haven't I bought this earlier? What a MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT over what I had been doing. OK, so far I've only printed PLA, and that sticks well (but not TOO well). And removing the prints? OH MY. No more scraping and hacking. I bought this as an experiment, actually. I have a Sindoh DP200, whose standard equipment is a removable bed but not a flexible one. So although I could remove the bed to get a better angle for my scraper, and without worrying about messing up the bed levels, removing the prints was a real hassle. PLA stuck too well. So well, in fact, that over time the scraper left hack marks and divots on the bed surface. So, with a seriously marred bed I decided to buy a replacement from Sindoh. Same problems, of course. But then I thought... I have this old bed with a damaged surface but the aluminum subplate is in perfect shape. I wonder if I could put a flexible bed on top of that? So I ordered this CHPOWER Creality Ender 3 Magnetic Flexible Build Surface. And then I scraped off all the surface from that, down to the bare aluminum, and installed the CHPOWER Surface onto it. VOILA! It's like magic. Before I started using it though I did an auto bed level. I then printed a small rectangle to test the z offset, and so I adjusted that to my liking. AND NOW I AM OFF TO THE RACES. What a difference! It's magical (have I mentioned that?) ... show more

  • Bought 3 times, 3rd one was different. In a bad way.
So I've bought 3 of these, as they wear out and crack over time, which is to be expected of course. The first 2 were fantastic, I actually liked them better than the one that came with my Ender 3 pro. Adhesion was good, very flexible, easy removals, they worked great. Then I got the 3rd one... I immediately saw that it was different when opening it. The surface was smother, and the magnet was not as strong and it felt lighter than the last 2. After the first print I realized the differences were more than cosmetic. The plastic surface was easily marred by the print, leaving an impression of the print even as the printer was dead level. Removal was also much more difficult than with previous versions, with the print sticking to the surface. The item printed was one that I had printed many times over several build surfaces with no issue. I'm not sure why the item was changed, but my hope is that it is changed back. At this point I'm going to order from another seller in hopes that they have an older version because this one is less than usable. ... show more

  • I don't think it's an official Creality product, a few important things to consider.
Got this for my Ender 5, but it's pretty much the same as the Ender 3 (same build plate). I noticed that the build surface is smoother than the one that came with my Ender 5, which is actually kind of nice. It's half way between having a glass bed and the stock build surface. Adhesion was really great, I don't remember if the original build surface started out this sticky, but I have zero issues with adhesion. It's WAYYY better than my stock build surface by the time I replaced it. The only real issue is that I didn't replace the heated bed magnets, and I had to rotate the build surface 90 degrees for the front-half to "snap" to the bed. It's a non-event. UPDATE: I revised this review down one star for one important reason, the bed doesn't stick to the stock magnetic bed nearly as well as the original. Recently I encountered an issue where the build surface actually lifted slightly from the bed and my part was rocking back and forth because the build surface really "stuck" to the bed. I'm going to have to play with this a bit more, I think the orientation is really important, and even though it seemed to stick when I turned the surface 90 degrees, I didn't try 180 and 270. Maybe it sticks better in another direction. Either way, this really should be stupid proof, and it should have been exactly the same as the stock surface. ... show more

  • works great
works great and almost as advertised, i had zero problems with adhesion with no glue and with PLA and PETG. Adhesion is almost too good because when i take the plate off and bend it to release the parts it only partially releases them and i still have to pull them off with some effort which is why it is a 4 star review. The orange print is 39 small parts printed in PETG first try with no problem, the silver is PLA and again i had zero problems with adhesion first try. Just keep the bed clean and you shouldn't have any problems. Also the PETG had a bed temp of 75C for the 10.5 hour print and the magnets are still incredibly strong, but time will tell if the magnets will hold after more extensive printing. ... show more
