I bought this for my wife right before she gave birth to our son. We’ve only had it for a couple months, but it has delivered on our hopes. The faux leather is actually pretty soft and comfortable, even on the back of your legs when you sit down during the night (not hard or cold). We also bought some faux leather conditioner that did cost $25 but was well rated to improve durability and longevity, with the goal of minimizing any risk the faux leather will get brittle and start cracking or peeling. It seemed to absorb well, and we used it on our other faux leather products around the house. The construction feels sturdy as long as you sit in the middle of the chair like normal. It’s supportive and we’re 5’ 6” @ 200 lb and 5’ 8” @ 180 lb. Back is tall enough to lean our head back on it with comfortable support. The swivel, glide, and electric recline all function excellently and are butter smooth. Small increments on the recline might be a little jumpy starting and stopping, but in motion and for full movements it’s great. Definitely better than manual recliners. The wood and metal frame components are solid. Assembly was extremely simple, just click and lock after taking off the box and packaging. Everything came in good working order with no damage from shipping or otherwise. The color fits in our room well, and the size is quite reasonable for a product in this category. We needed something that could fit in the corner of our smallish master bedroom with all our other baby furniture, and this did the trick. ... show more

We’ve been using this glider in the nursery for my 3 month old baby. After countless hours sitting in it, I had to write a review of gratitude! This is the absolute perfect nursery glider. It’s so comfortable, attractive, and practical. It’s a lot less expensive than other gliders we were considering, and I’m so glad we didn’t spend the extra money; this glider is premium quality in terms of fabric, comfort, aesthetic, and sturdiness. First of all, assembly was literally a snap - chair back aligns with brackets and "snap", you done. Glides and pivots smoothly. The glide smartly locks out when reclined to a certain point. The recline is very deep and would make for a comfortable nap. Lumbar support is just right. Looks very smart next to our dark gray leather furniture. I wanted a powered recliner that was also a glider/rocker, fit well into my small space, and had a contemporary look - this Chita chair is the most comfortable - and best-looking - recliner I’ve ever seen or used! I’m 5’5” tall and heavy, and I experience a lot of joint pain and stiffness throughout my entire body (arthritis/fibro/injuries). This chair’s foam has just the right balance of support and “give” for me, and the fixed lumbar cushion is the perfect size and location to ease my lower back pain. All that said, I’m most pleased with the upholstery. I have decades of experience in architecture, interior design, and furniture design, and I’m quite sure that this is a high-quality vinyl upholstery that will last for years and years. I look forward to the days when more environmentally-friendly fabrics will offer this level of wear… but for now, my choices are governed by durability, look/feel, and price point. The stitching and finishing are beautiful. I found the chair to be SUPERBLY packaged and protected (it took me quite a while to cut/break down all the layers of cardboard!) - I haven’t found any damage whatsoever. The chair is heavy, but I did manage to shove the box up my lobby stairs and into my apartment, and I unboxed and assembled it by myself (it took about 30 minutes to unbox). There was no way I could totally lift the piece without help. Assembly was a piece of cake - you just make sure to properly align the metal parts, and be sure to SHOVE DOWN on the back until it clicks into the base. Make sure everything is aligned and doesn’t look crooked at the seat and back). I can imagine that failing to do this last step may be why some customers had problems with metal parts breaking. It’s a good thing that assembly is simple, because I couldn’t find ANY instructions until the next day when I started breaking down the cartons. Taping the instructions to the chair’s bubble wrap would be a great idea, Chita! I’m thrilled with this chair, and would happily order another if I had room! ... show more

Purchased the dove grey version. Very comfortable and excellent customer service/communications. It’s not a huge hulking chair, which is why we liked it. I’m 6’3” and it’s just right (could almost be a little bigger/longer, but then we’d end up with a huge hulking chair!). Very fast delivery via FedEx…as usual thoroughly beat up! Two-piece assembly was very easy - less than five-minutes. Not too heavy, but you might want another person to get it into place. I’m holding my breath that the power mechanism doesn’t fail in short order, but only a few have had issues. Solid construction and nice soft material. Down side: (1) doesn't lock when lifted - continues to rotate; (2) base is a round metal frame vs. wood, and is not padded, so have to apply floor pads or purchase a pad.
