The base for the ottoman and chair are heavy and rock solid. The only building you need to do is attaching the bases. The leather is nice, chair is firm but comfortable, not too firm but not sink in plushy. Great for a reading chair, reclining works well and feels solid. The head rest adjusts for taller people. My only complaint is that the bottoms of the chair and ottoman are covered in California compliant stickers that leave tons of residue when removed. All this could be removed with some work, annoying for such an expensive chair. The stickers will tell you that the chair has passed flammability requirements however contains no flame retardants because they may cause cancer. California..........

I love the aesthetic of the eames chair but was excited about the extra features available in this chair. I use this chair for video conferencing during work or reading in the evening. The recline feature with the tilting headrest makes both of these tasks more enjoyable. The chair is well built and sturdy yet comfortable and stylish. Very pleased with the purchase.

We scoured the world over it seams to find the right chair and came across this one. I had Some strict criteria as I’m 6’4” then my wife being the designer she is had her own criteria for esthetics. This chair for the bill for both of us. We had a slight issue that required us to get with customer support and they handled it perfectly. So professional and graceful. Our experience has us convinced that we will always go to Chita products first and foremost and deal with them because they’ve truly earned our trust. Buying online will always have its risks with shipping etc. That’s out of the manufacturers control. It’s something we have to all deal with, but, when you have a company like Chita going out of their way to make things right… that’s impossible to beat. We will be their customers for life. Bought this armchair when there were no reviews - but decided to give a chance since the other armchair designs seemed to have good review. We have had it for over 2 months and so far it is perfect. Really like that you can recline the chair as well as adjust the headrest. One thing to note is that I did not know that "memory swivel" meant that the chair will go back to the original direction it was facing even if you swirl it to another direction - sometimes this gets slightly annoying but still it has its own merits (I dont have to adjust it back to the original position when i'm cleaning etc). Overall a vvery good, cost-effective purchase!

The chair is excellent. It is the exact same weight to the ounce and dimensions to the centimeter as a chair I was considering being sold by a major furniture company, but for less than half the costs. I suspect it is the exact same chair. There are a lot of labels on the wood that had to be removed and the wood seemed a bit dried out from the excessive protective plastic wrap. A little Murphy's Oil rejuvenated the wood right away. Applying leather conditioner and cleaner took away the packaging smell and brought out the suppleness. It is a high quality chair well worth the purchase price. The only criticism is that the housing resistance is not strong enough to sustain the head rest in a high position; it kept slowly slipping downward after a few hours. To correct the bracketing's tendency to slide slowly down into the housing over time and compensate for the weak tension/resistance strength of the housing, silver tubing cut to length was added over the bracketing. No more slipping!!! This will not be an issue for anyone that keeps the headrest in the lowest position. As a tall individual I prefer the headrest in its highest position, plus the quarter-inch tubing is so subtle it does not alter the look of the chair.

Chair arrived on time and packaged very nicely. Assembly was straight forward. Getting the base on the Chair was a little tricky, but had everything assembled in approx 20 min. I was a bit skeptical if it was actually leather as it is really soft. I ended up sticking my finger into the underside of the headrest, so I could see the back side of the leather. Yep, it appears to be real leather! See pic. I'm really pleased with this purchase. Good looking and really comfortable Chair. Does have a bit of a chemical smell at first, but is gone the next morning.

You’re probably looking for an Eames lounger style chair I’m here to say, you found the right one. Sturdy construction, adjustable, ~160° recline, adjustable clicking headrest. This chair is what the Eames lounge chair wishes it was in 2024. Drawback/QC: The felt pad at the chair base needed to be shaved down for the nut to tighten onto the screw. Other than that, no quality issues no creeks very well-made!

This chair arrived just over a week ago with NO BASE for the chair or ottoman. And we still don't have them! Because of this, we cannot put the chair together and use it (which is why we are not reviewing the product itself). It makes no sense whatsoever that the chair, ottoman and base, do not come together in one box. I would also add, at this point, that the leather on the chair is not stitched equally. One side looks good and the other is misshapen. A truly disappointing experience.
