***Update: upon notifying Chita of my concerns with the chair and desire to return, they offered to replace the chair free of charge. I was worried the replacement might have the same issues, but I received the replacement chair within a week and it is perfect. It sits level and has the clearance needed for the rocking function to be properly utilized. We love this chair and are so pleased with the look, quality, and softness of the almost white/grey leather; as well as the non-bulky yet plush style, and quiet smooth operation of both the automated headrest and recliner functions. Also the open section under the arm rest is nice a convenient place to set your phone to keep it close and allow it to charge but not get in your way or where it can be easily knocked to the floor. It's kinda heavy and hard to move alone so have a helper. Attaching the back was easier on the replacement as it slid right into the existing brackets on the seat base clicking securely into place. I'm also very pleased with how Chita resolved my issue and my concerns about having to pay to return a defective chair. Note: Be sure you read and understand Chita's return policy before buying. I didn't but I sent pics of my issues and luckily they removed the hassles/fees associated with returning the defective model.*** This chair is super soft and very pretty but it unfortunately sits slightly lopsided and doesn't provide any clearance between the front bottom of the chair and the floor to allow it to rock. If it were actually a glider it would probably bo okay but it's more like a rocker so when we sit in it and try to rock even slighty it hits the floor and puts pressure on the bottom front of the reclining footrest portion of the chair which is sure to cause damage in no time. Attempting to return but the process isn't as easy as they make it seem. I'd replace it if I knew the replacement wouldn't do the same thing. The chair was received with two damages that were hidden until unpacked and all the foam removed for them to be visible. The chair was unpacked on carpet and very carefully assembled. Contacted Chita same day but still have not gotten any response from them on how to handle. The chair itself is okay. I am 5’11” and find that my feet either hang too far off the foot rest or if I scoot up in the chair then my head is too high. The power recliner is nice but I find that getting the footrest into the full up position then the backrest is already going back. It is a tradeoff and hard to get the right combination. The power headrest is nice but it retracts when you adjust the backrest position. The headrest is on a separate button so I not sure why they have the functionality tied together. The armrest are large and stand high. I find it kind of uncomfortable when using my tablet because the armrest are so far apart that you end up with your elbows at your side and they rub against the wooden frame under the armrest pad. It is annoying. Would I buy again. Probably not just because of the customer support not being provided, issues with product, and ability to get really comfortable in the chair. I think that buying a chair like this may require visiting a showroom and testing the chair out before purchasing. ... show more

My husband found this chair very uncomfortable, especially the neck support. He’s short (5’8”) and the crook of his neck is not accommodated by the chair’s motorized support mechanism. We spent a lot of time trying to return the item, as ChitaLiving is a third party seller. One phone number given to us directed us to the manufacture, in China. I’m not kidding. They couldn’t give us a phone number to reach in China. No further contact from Chita regarding the return after we asked for info for the return of a bulky item, they just sent a return label. One place in our search’s fine print stated the chair was not eligible for return if the reason wasn’t about a damaged chair or shipping damage. I know we were naive to think even Amazon’s great return policy would provide us a back up option to return (even with a restocking charge or reboxing fee), but there you have the bottom line. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS CHAIR WITH ASSURANCE OF RETURNING IT IF NOT DESIRED. Follow up to my first review: ChitaLiving contacted us by text message as soon as the first review was posted. ChitaLiving was nothing but gracious and advocated for our 100% satisfaction in resolving this transaction. They offered to send a prepaid shipping label (we’d have to figure out how to get them boxed up—😩) OR 20% discount off the purchase price of both chairs. It was a decent compromise, faithfully offered and we said YES. Not perfect, but a win/win for us having to put up with neck problems. AND elimination of our need to box them up somehow. The chairs themselves are quality! quality made. Supple leather everywhere the sitter sits, a smooth QUIET motor mechanism, and featherlight rocking and swiveling.     • How comfortable the chair really is

I rarely leave a review but I just had to First off it came two days early. Then the hardest part of everything was getting it out of the box. Came in two pieces then plug the backrest in and you’re done. I found seats at a good height and backrest is very supportive and the best is the headrest you can move it forward to meet your neck for support. For the price you really can’t beat it Hope this was helpful ... show more

Not your granddaddy’s recliner :) It’s not overstuffed and cushiony - it’s firm so I do sit on a pillow, and it’s narrow, so I don’t advise it for large/wide people.
