Installation was very easy- instructions if you need them were clear. Raising and lowering function of the blind is smooth. In the listing it says the light opacity is “blackout”. Not so much. I bought these to replace an aging set of Roman shades that had a coating on the backside of the shade fabric that truly provided room darkening. But it was getting old and starting to get chalky due to sun exposure. These blinds use a second layer of white fabric on the back for insulation and increased opacity, but it doesn’t work as well as th coating on the old blinds did. ... show more

I love how easy they are to install! There was a bit of trial and error, but by our third one, my husband knew exactly what to do. I love that they have Velcro at the top for easy removal. That’s nifty for cleaning! I love that they are opaque enough so that people can’t look in yet there’s a lot of light that filters through. The mechanism is very smart to allow for cordless operation. We have a toddler, and we would rather not have cords whenever possible. They are very nice and I will be ordering them again. I like this shade for my glazed entry door. This magnetic concept is good for those of us who have a tendency to leave the window covers alone most of the time. For me, it's the fully open position in the living areas and fully closed position in the bedrooms. I like not dealing with cords, especially with dogs around, who ruin them. I'd like to buy this magnetic type for all my living area windows as well. But I won't. Although it works well on my door (where I'm seeking a bit of eye-to-eye privacy), it would cover too much top area. This could be remedied by placing a magnet strip all the way at the top. The other thing I will add is that the mechanism protrudes about 2" from the wall where attached, allowing visual peering, as well as more heat escape. With magnetic operation, this protrusion shouldn't be necessary, as it is with cord operation. I'll wait for redesign before upgrading more windows. ... show more

We bought light blocking to help manage a sunny window and cool off the room. Winter will be here soon and we will also be pulling them at night to keep the warmth in. They hang/mount easily and look even and flawless.

Arrived fast. Inside Mount fit perfectly. When shade is lifted up all the way it looks pretty, but I wasn’t keen on how they looked when pulled down. A bit drab. They are polyester. I did put a sheer panel over them and this improved the look in the evening while shade pulled down. Shades go up and down very easily. I will buy these shades fro the rest my home! It's not black out shades but some light does come through. I love that I can push it up and down without any hassle. It's a great buy and true to their quality.
