I like this shade for my glazed entry door. This magnetic concept is good for those of us who have a tendency to leave the window covers alone most of the time. For me, it's the fully open position in the living areas and fully closed position in the bedrooms. I like not dealing with cords, especially with dogs around, who ruin them. I'd like to buy this magnetic type for all my living area windows as well. But I won't. Although it works well on my door (where I'm seeking a bit of eye-to-eye privacy), it would cover too much top area. This could be remedied by placing a magnet strip all the way at the top. The other thing I will add is that the mechanism protrudes about 2" from the wall where attached, allowing visual peering, as well as more heat escape. With magnetic operation, this protrusion shouldn't be necessary, as it is with cord operation. I'll wait for redesign before upgrading more windows. ... show more

Needed shades that could block light and heat for my home office. Not 100% blackout but way better than the regular shades I had. For the price they are good quality and easy to install. Looked through a lot of options on Amazon and glad I went with these.

These were so easy to install, but note that you need enough space in your trim to screw in the hardware - we were cutting it close. Quality is good, light blocking is good enough (of course light comes in the sides still), and love how easily they go up and down.

This is the best because when they get dirty you can wash them. Hardware is easy to install and itโ€™s easy to use. So much better than blinds. Measurements were accurate as well.

We have this on a door to cover a window. It works well enough and the magnets or plenty strong enough to adjust height. It does, however, stick out about an inch from the window which I don't care for. If it were placed in a window frame, it would look fine but it does look a little odd on a flat surface. The material provides privacy and also allows light through. As an added bonus, the material is great if you have cats that like to attack curtains.
