Installation was very easy- instructions if you need them were clear. Raising and lowering function of the blind is smooth. In the listing it says the light opacity is “blackout”. Not so much. I bought these to replace an aging set of Roman shades that had a coating on the backside of the shade fabric that truly provided room darkening. But it was getting old and starting to get chalky due to sun exposure. These blinds use a second layer of white fabric on the back for insulation and increased opacity, but it doesn’t work as well as th coating on the old blinds did. ... show more

I love how easy they are to install! There was a bit of trial and error, but by our third one, my husband knew exactly what to do. I love that they have Velcro at the top for easy removal. That’s nifty for cleaning! I love that they are opaque enough so that people can’t look in yet there’s a lot of light that filters through. The mechanism is very smart to allow for cordless operation. We have a toddler, and we would rather not have cords whenever possible. They are very nice and I will be ordering them again. Pics are of work in progress- I’m sure the rooms will look very elevated when all redecoration is done! ... show more

Arrived fast. Inside Mount fit perfectly. When shade is lifted up all the way it looks pretty, but I wasn’t keen on how they looked when pulled down. A bit drab. They are polyester. I did put a sheer panel over them and this improved the look in the evening while shade pulled down. Shades go up and down very easily. Overall a pretty good Roman Shade, I tend to prefer cotton over Polyester. ... show more

These blinds are a must! The are so well made and easy to install! I have zero handy experience and was able to use a few power tool and install them in no time! When pulled down they are so beautiful and add to the room. I absolutely love how they are designed and sturdy. I however do not like that they do not darken a room very much. But that may be my own fault. These blinds never claimed to darken rooms. I just chose them for their looks. As someone who works nights it makes it slightly difficult to sleep. ... show more

I like this shade for my glazed entry door. This magnetic concept is good for those of us who have a tendency to leave the window covers alone most of the time. For me, it's the fully open position in the living areas and fully closed position in the bedrooms. I like not dealing with cords, especially with dogs around, who ruin them. I'd like to buy this magnetic type for all my living area windows as well. But I won't. Although it works well on my door (where I'm seeking a bit of eye-to-eye privacy), it would cover too much top area. This could be remedied by placing a magnet strip all the way at the top. The other thing I will add is that the mechanism protrudes about 2" from the wall where attached, allowing visual peering, as well as more heat escape. With magnetic operation, this protrusion shouldn't be necessary, as it is with cord operation. I'll wait for redesign before upgrading more windows. ... show more

I wasn’t sure if this blind would provide enough darkness on our door window. The sun shines in the afternoon, making a glare on the TV in our room. It’s perfect!. Easy to install and I love that it does not have a cord. You simply push it up!
