I bought these to cover the windows in a media room I am building. They were to be a temporary fix for 3 windows since they were cheap and available. They look good and fit width wise very good. They don't provide a perfect lights out look, some light does get by the edge, especially, since the length is fixed and on the bottom there is a pleat that does not completely unfold. For the money a great solution though. I may keep them and not replace them with automatic blinds as I had originally planned. They are almost never up anyway... ... show more

this is a good product, there's no way I'd pay the current price of double there's nothing but plastic and material, and the pull down plastic tab makes them look cheap ( made my own with teak wood ) for the newest price I'd expect at the least wood and quality material through and through .. just get rid of the plastic altogether ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I usually purchase custom shades for my home. Due to its age (it was built in 1920), the windows are somewhat awkward sizes. I was wary of ordering shades from Amazon because Chicology was the only brand that would fit my windows in my desired color. It seemed a little too good to be true that the only option would fit and look good. But I was in a tight spot and needed something quick. I usually go with inside mounting shades but wanted to cover the window frames. Plus, nothing would fit my weird windows without customization. It turned out to be an excellent purchase! I can’t speak to how easy they were to install. My husband figured it out without issue but I’m not sure I would have done as well (he is a professional carpenter and I am anything but). He did mention the screws provided were cheap and he ended up throwing them away in favor of his own. Regarding aesthetics, I love the simplicity and clean lines of my new Roman shades. They provide a decent amount of privacy and are easy to use. I definitely recommend them to anyone who is considering a purchase. ... show more

The shades are good for the price. You can definitely tell they are not the quality of a more expensive custom made shade. Hanging them was very challenging at first. The bracket was very confusing - the word “press” on was a little misleading. But after I hung the first one - the next two were easy

As the picture shows these just look cheap. One is not even level when pulled all the way down. THEY ARE TOILET PAPER THIN in the gray fabric. The biggest problem is when pulled down the light comes thru the middle of the shade and you have a dark band across the top where the extra drape is and across the bottom where the remaining length bunches up. These darken the room ok thanks to the white backing but they just look cheap. The fabric is super thin and looks much less appealing than in photos on the page. The fabric is nowhere as thick as it is in the side view on the product page it is nearly see thru. In fact the fabric is so thin you can see the thread bunching where the white backing is sewn to it. You can see the thread thru the fabric with any light from outside. They look good when pulled down 1/4th the way .... but I don't like people looing in my windows. Fabric that was probably $1,00 more would have improved these 100% One is also missing an end cap that I will contact for replacement. If I had not drilled and mounted them ..... I would be sending them back (they do mount fairly easy) If you have no light coming from outside they may be ok but for me and I am not a guy of high expectations .... they look cheap. Everything works great. My only qualm is that, while the shipping box was sealed, the packaging of the product itself was ripped open and felt like something a previous customer had returned.
