Absolutely love this seat upgrade for my son!! We switched from the Graco extend2fit which is more so for smaller tots in my opinion. I realized that, now that my son is much bigger (2 years old) and needs a more suitable seat but the moment he rode in this Chicco seat I could tell he was so comfortable and relieved!!!! He’s no longer all bunched up in the Graco seat. I honestly wish we’d started with Chicco to begin with. I love that it reclines as well. Amazing car seat. It’s comfy and sturdy. My only regret is not getting this sooner. The recline options are so amazing as well. This is the FIRST seat my toddlers head doesn’t droop in when she’s asleep. Thank you Chicco for making a beautiful seat.

I bought the MyFit Air Cleartex in Nova fabric as a gift for my friend’s daughter to put in her 2022 Chevy Equinox that has non removable headrests. I bought the seat during a sale. I could have saved an extra $50 by going with the sale price of the Graco Nautilus 2.0 LX, but the main reasons that I chose the MyFit was because it is free of chemical flame retardants, is more plush, and has higher harness height limits. This is my second time buying a Chicco seat and consciously deciding to spend a little more money compared to buying a Graco seat. The other seat I bought nearly 4 years ago is the Chicco Kidfit Cleatex. Graco makes great seats too, but I value that the Chicco Cleartex line uses materials made without chemical flame retardants. Nuna and Britax are other companies that offer flame retardant free seats but Nuna is out of my budget. I explain later on why I didn’t get a Britax Grow with You seat. Pros: -No chemical flame retardants and Greenguard Gold certified - number one reason I chose this brand over Graco -High harness mode limits - 54 inches, 65 lb, and 19.5 inch top harness height. Most other seats have 49 inches height limits or even if they do have higher height limits, the top harness height is often not high enough to truly get to the full limits (ex: Diono harnessed seats such as the 3R that has a 17.5 inch top harness height and Chicco Fit3X that has an 18 inch top harness height). A seat can be outgrown by torso height in forward facing harness mode if the shoulder straps cannot be raised up more to be at or above shoulder level -Cooling fabric features: the back part of the fabric has cool flow channels, there are mesh sides, and even the quilted part is more breathable than the standard Cleartex fabric -Fabric color: I like the black fabric but I found it frustrating that I couldn’t find any customer photos or videos of the nova print. In the Chicco website photos, it looked like the quilting thread may be white and would potentially be busy looking. In person, the thread is a light-medium shade of gray. It looks nice but I’d prefer either a dark gray or black thread closer to the fabric color. This is a personal preference though. -Often not compatible with non removable headrests but is compatible on recline 4 with fixed headrests in a 2022 Chevy Equinox (headrests adjust up and down but don’t fully remove) -Slim (17.5 inches wide) and has different recline options Cons: -Often incompatible with non removable vehicle headrests because Chicco doesn’t allow a gap from the vehicle headrest pushing the seat forward and causing a gap. There are a few vehicles with fixed headrests that the MyFit is compatible with such as the 2022 Equinox and certain seating positions of the Chrysler Pacifica -Fairly heavy and has a 40 lb weight limit for latch but this is true for a lot of seats with steel frames -I’m not a big fan of the color orange. I think the seat would look nice if the button to loosen the straps and belt guide was gray or red instead of orange -Would love for Chicco to either offer the zip feature or a rapid remove cover for the MyFit Cleartex. Chicco used to sell a MyFit Air Zip but it didn’t come in Cleartex fabric which is the main reason I chose this seat -Lower profile than a convertible seat (a seat than rear and forward faces such as the Chicco OneFit or Graco Extend2Fit) but not as low profile as the Graco Tranzitions (lowest profile option) or Nautilus. Other seats I considered and reasons I didn’t choose them: -Graco Nautilus 2.0 LX - almost bought this one but I didn’t because it has chemical flame retardants and when I went to see a display model in store, the fabric wasn’t very plush. I’d heard it has a plusher fabric than the Tranzitions but it wasn’t much more when I felt them both. The MyFit is more plush. Pros are that it is compatible with fixed headrests in harness mode (may not be in high back booster mode), nice latch, quilted fabric, has different recline options, and easier to install than the Tranzitions. Wider than the MyFit and Tranzitions and heavier than the Tranzitions but a bit lighter than the MyFit. -Graco Nautilus 2.0 is very similar to the LX aside from not having quilted fabric and having the j hook style latch like the Tranzitions. It’s easier to install than the Tranzitions but the latch install of the Nautilus 2.0 LX is easier (latch weight limit is 45 lbs) -Graco Tranzitions- good affordable option, compatible with fixed headrests in harness mode, light, slim (17.5 inches with cupholders folder in like the MyFit), and the most low profile seat in this list. Cons: can be tricky to install due to its high narrow belt path, has chemical flame retardants, fabric isn’t super plush, and doesn’t have recline options. -Britax Grow with You: flame retardant free. The clicktight version is super easy to install but is out of my budget so I would have gotten the non clicktight version. The main reason I didn’t get this one was that I didn’t think it would be compatible with the Equinox’s fixed headrests (Britax seats generally don’t work well with fixed headrests). The Grow with You has a high 20 inch top belt guide (compared to 19.5 inches for the MyFit) but has a lower standing height limit for harness mode (49 inches versus 54 for the MyFit). Wide and heaviest seat of the list. One other reason I didn’t choose it was because I’ve heard that the crotch buckle strap is fairly short since the seat was updated with a new positioning layer for new side impact standards. -Honorable mention: Evenflo Maestro - lightweight and very travel friendly but wasn’t high on my list because it has a 50 lb harness weight limit and doesn’t have a non rethread harness. -Honorable mention: Chicco Fit3X - a little bit less expensive then the MyFit but I didn’t choose it because I don’t need the rear facing feature, it has a lower top harness height of 18 inches compared to 19.5 inches for the MyFit, and it likely is less low profile than the MyFit as most convertible seats are (since they sit up on a recline base), and it likely has a lower top belt guide height for booster mode (true of most convertible seats) Photos show the seat right out of the box. Finally. A car seat that works with you. Straps are designed to not tangle, harness is comfy for my child. Straps support shoulders and head the way it out too. Great job Chico. Wish more products were made like this.

First things first, This car seat is beautiful!! It’s pretty easy to go from stage to stage and my grandson fits great. Materials are pretty high quality and feel very sturdy. Very easy to install with the included instructions, use is very easy! For sure I recommend this product.

My kids love this seat much more than their previous one. The overall comfort of this seat looks great, I get no complaints. It’s easy to use and get in and out of. The style of the car seat fits both kids nicely. Overall it’s worth the money.

This is a great seat! We had an older Chico car seat in my vehicle so we bought a new one for my husband’s new vehicle and this one is so nice! Easy to clip my toddler can buckle herself. It was very easy to install and it’s secure in the car. Highly recommend.

Does it bother you when your kid’s head falls forward during a nap? Buy this car seat and you won’t have that problem anymore. It’s comfy and my kid can’t remove the cups on her own as a bonus! It’s not super heavy either compared to some of the car seats we’ve owned.
