My son was so excited to get his 'big boy' seat!! It is super comfortable. Adjustment is very easy. I saw negative comments about the belt holder not being great. We've only had it a week, but I don't think the belt comes out too easily. The quick release if you use the latch is just that. Very quick and easy. The side head rests are also very comfortable. When my son fell asleep the first time in this, I could tell he looked more comfortable than his car seat (which was pretty comfy until he started to outgrow it). Our son is tall for his age, so we wanted a high back that would grow with him. We are so happy with this one that we are ordering a second for the back up vehicle. ... show more

I spent nearly 2 months reasearching car seats for our son who outgrew his Cybex Sirona. I joined several groups on Facebook, discussed with CPSTs and ended up buying this Chicco KidFit Zip Air Plus. I drive GMC Yukon so we have no issues with space but my main concern was how comfy this seat would be. We take long rides several times a month and the Cybex Sirona has been one of the best purchases ever given the fact it was super comfy and padded enough for him to never complain. When trying different seats, my son would complain about his butt hurting. So, we love this new seat - the leg rest is absolutely great, it's light and super easy to install, the cup holder is awesome and the snack box is a great attachment but note, it does fall out! Unfortunately, even when the seat padding is layered, it's nothing like the Cybex (that my daughter uses now) and my son does complain - not as much as with the other seats we tried but he does. I bought some gel pad that one CPST recommended and it does the job. I just wish more seats would use more cushion for long rides. We are keeping it but I am determined to try a few more seats to compare :) ... show more

I’m a grandma and have dealt with car seats for 19 years. This is by far the easiest car seat I’ve ever had to put in and remove from the car. Plus it’s rated as one of the safest. My grandson got in and immediately remarked that it was so comfy on his legs with the leg rest. He loves the snack caddy that goes in the one cup holder. I always stick a surprise or treat in the snack holder for him. He can buckle and unbuckle himself but I always double check that he did it correctly and that it’s secure. To remove the seat, you just push the button hidden in the front of the seat and the latches come free. To put the seat in, you extend the straps, latch them to your car, push the car seat back and pull the front hidden strap to tighten. It’s seriously so easy. It’s quick and no more sweating and wrestling the car seat. It’s a great “common sense” idea! Love love love it!! ... show more

We needed to get a new booster seat for my child. This one came up as one of the best in the price point. It was easy to install and has latch hooks which makes it stay in place. The seat is on the narrower side, and the leg rest is a much-appreciated addition for my child. The console is also a nice added feature to store small toys and a bag of snacks. The booster seat instills confidence that it will help do the job in case of an accident. I am always worried when a booster seat only relies on the safety belt, the addition of the latch hooks puts my mind at rest. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The seat looks great and feels very comfortable, but even when secured tightly, it moves too much. As shown in my video, it doesn’t stay as stable as expected.

Did plenty of research and this seat had high crash test ratings and was recommended by multiple reputable sources. Reasonable price as well so that was a plus. Our first time trying the Chicco brand as we have used Britax for our convertible seats. Easy install, materials seem to be good quality, and my child finds it very comfortable. Foot rest and snack/toy tray are nice to have. Will update this review in the future if there are any issues ... show more
