I needed to update my 2004 Silverado 1500, and this was the perfect fit. I was trying to get the Jensen CAR1013, but i believe this is the amazon specific model of the same device. It is also almost $60 cheaper than crutchfield. I installed with a PAC RP5-GM11 adapter kit, which was probably overkill at an additional $140, because my truck is a base model without onstar or bose. The $40 scosche GM adapter probably would have been fine in my case, however everything booted up and just worked first time go. I did wire the included GPS antenna and the included microphone. Test call to my wife seemed to work just fine, no issue with the mic not working. I also wired a RED Wolf Tailgate Camera, which I soldered into the reverse positive and ground wires on the left tail light. The device read the canbus signals just fine, and the back up camera displayed the picture correctly. Not upside down or backwards, and no need for me to flip the image in the settings. I was able to manually adjust the back up guides, which was a nice feature. The only real downside to this device is due to the truck, not the device. The gear selector lever obstructs the screen a bit while in park. When driving this is not an issue. I posted pics of the clearance and even in park it is not touching. The Jensen also sticks out past the bezel enough that you can point it and angle the screen with quite a bit of play. The dash kit I used was the Metra Electronics 95-2001 Double DIN Installation Dash Kit for Select 1994 - 2012 GM Vehicles. I also used the double din metal cover plate that came with the Jensen. With the kits, head unit and back up camera I was properly set up with wireless android auto for around $500. Not to mention the wireless android auto works fantastic so far. ... show more

Wireless Android auto disconnects by it self while the vehicle is in motion. Audio and guidance volume resets to its default settings when the vehicle is turned off, I would love to keep my volume settings every time when I start my vehicle. Android auto works great when is connected by wire.

1. Like: Ease of installation, (5 way adjustable 10.1” screen) 2.Dislike: plastic double din faceplates are expensive ( $46) 3. Dislike: wiring harness (interface) is very expensive for what it is ($96.00) It had to be wired to existing vehicle harness! 4. Both iOS CarPlay USB and power USB ARE NOT built into Jensen unit… they just hang loose! Very inconvenient! ... show more

Since we’ve installed this unit in our motorhome, the 10” screen goes black numerous times then comes back on while we’re driving. We’ve checked all connections and nothing is loose but it continues to happen. Since it’s more than 30 days since we bought it we now are going to try and go back to the manufacturer. If that goes well then I will come back and change my review but right now I cannot recommend this unit to anyone. Otherwise the unit looks good and it’s nice and easy to read and large enough for the motorhome. Just wish it worked like it should. ... show more

I always thought Jensen was supposed to be a good brand, this is my second one so far and I am not amused. Sound quality is good, but the features are horrible. The backup camera is useless, no options to make it mirror so when you back up the things you see on the camera what should be showing to your left show on the right vise versus instead of showing like you were actually looking in a rear view mirror which backup cameras are supposed to do. I definitely will not buy another Jensen product after this ... show more

The media could not be loaded. As the titles states… the screen flickers when I turn the volume over 15 (looks like it probably goes up to 40-50 if I had to guess)… so not even THAT loud and the screen has some sort of issue with it. I also had a similar floating screen Boss unit, similar size etc. The interface and features were the same for the most part. I’d give the Jensen a slight nod because of the what the quality feels/looks like regarding the radio face. It just looks a little bit higher end and nicer. Otherwise very similar seeming to me at this point. ... show more
