We were nervous about buying a couch online but we are so glad we did. It’s comfy but firm, the kind of firm that isn’t too hard but also doesn’t make you sink into the couch and struggle to get up. The size is perfect for my apartment and as someone that’s 5’5 it’s a perfect length to be able to sprawl out. Will say the Velcro that keeps the cushions attached to the couch are a little sparse so I would recommend getting more Velcro to keep everything in place. We were amazed at how easy this set was to assemble and love the ability create multiple iterations. We have a small living room and this creates multiple comfortable setups. Cushions inflate pretty uniformly - seats are firm and seem durable, backs are fluffy - TBD their durability...we have cats and will see if the collapse in the center but can be reshaped. Storage ottoman an awesome plus! Very impressed with sturdiness. Will try and remember to come back in a couple years with "state of the sectional" updates. ... show more

It’s just okay. I have a back room I use as a little TV den hideaway and I needed a small sofa for so I got one over Thanksgiving weekend and man, I thought I found it. But I also thought I was buying an actual sofa. This thing arrived in 5 different boxes and not all at the same time. I was irate. I thought I purchased an actual sofa. I didn’t want the build-a-couch. It did go together fairly easily though. My wife actually assembled it while I was at work to surprise me. Now that it’s put together and I see it, I kind of regret buying it. The size of the sofa is perfect. It’s not bulky at all. Or too deep. My feet touch the floor. I don’t love the deep slouchy couches. I am 5’9” and the perfect size to lay on this couch. You could probably lay on it if you’re 6 feet or under but any bigger and you are going to have to start bending your knees. It is on the firm side, but I like firm. It is nicer to lay on than to sit on. It feels low as well so are going to want to have shorter legs. What I don’t love is the cushions are 5 inches thick and the upholstery is kind of loose. Several pieces, especially the ottoman, seem to be wrinkled and pancaking because they were crushed flat in the box. What’s more the back cushions are only 2.5 inches thick and the Velcro sucks. You are going to need more. The side pillows are 2 inches thick. The pieces snap together with 2 steel bracket hook and loop fittings at each connection point. The back is held on by slide brackets. What irks me more than anything is the pattern direction on the corner piece. It runs one way, making it not match one side of the couch. This makes one of the cushion upholstery look dull, depending on which direction you are looking from. You can see it so well in person but barely in the advertisement. The stitching on the back of the cushions is atrocious. There are unkempt fabric cuts covering strips of Velcro. Add more Velcro before you peel. It just sticks to a giant felt pad. See pictures. It was cheap enough and is the perfect size for this room, so I’m going to probably keep it. But knowing what I know now, I would have probably kept looking. It’s going to work for what I need because it’s small and just for me and not in our living room. If I was young and starting out and wanted an easy couch to move from apartment to apartment, sure. Older, with a family, there still are better options out there in the same price range. ... show more

This purchase felt like a big gamble for me, feeling fear level gamble! Well I’m very happy that I felt the fear and did it anyway with this corner sofa because it’s only been put together for an hour and I’m firmly in love. I’m 5”3 and it’s as close as perfect as I’d hope for, size and depth wise. Not in a mini sofa type of way, just simple perfect for me and its space. I was contacted pre sales with information for putting it together and waya to reach out for help, which I was very impressed with. If you are in doubt I’d say feel secure with the level of customer service available and go for it, with any luck you’ll end up like me completely and utterly over the moon with it! ... show more

I bought three separate CHIC HOUSE modular furniture sets: the beige 4-seater couch (3 seats plus an ottoman), the beige 7 seater L-shaped sectional (6 seats plus an ottoman), and the gray 4 seater couch. I put the beige couch on the riser in my theater room and used its ottoman with the L-shaped sectional on the floor. Now I have comfy seating for at least 9 people! I added gold throw pillows for a pop of color and to match the room decor. I purchased additional arms for the gray couch and separated the pieces into a chair and loveseat for another small sitting area in my house. Shipping was prompt, packaging was great, and assembly was a breeze with easy-to-follow instructions. I was able to unbox and easily move each piece into place myself for assembly. In the 15(!) boxes I received, there was only ONE set of felt protectors missing, which I didn't need anyway. These couches obviously aren't high-end furniture, but the fabric seems sturdy enough. The furniture looks great and is extremely comfortable. I'd like to see more color options in the sectional, such as brown and navy, but the colors I chose look nice. Great value for the price!
