Updated review-- Amazon made replacement of the defective unit very easy. The replacement works ad intended-- so far, so good. After 4 uses, it will not get hot. Red light flashes rapidly, but no heat. Very disappointing at this price!,

The price was sooo worth the purchase it straightenes very well it does auto shut off after an hour and it leaves your hair super smooth after I got the all black one and I loved it ... show more

I had to order two of these because the first one was defective. The plates would not touch fully with light pressure, and barely touched fully with full force. My hair kept slipping out the back of the iron. The plates also didn't align when closed. The second flat iron had much better plate contact. I do think it makes my hair smoother and look healthier than my Revlon ceramic flat iron. I would rate it higher if I hadn't needed to order it twice. ... show more
