Love this spray. I use it in dry hair to set my Velcro rollers. I gave very fine hair and struggle getting volume. After a get my makeup on and am dressed I take each tiller out and hit it with the curling iron. Then just fluff it with my fingers. Holds all day. Great price. Not stiff or sticky. Works great. I had no smoke or flyaways after flat ironing. The hold was good for me having thick, dense hair. If my hair was fine, I would opt for less hold. I’d probably give it a 4.5 if I could. It was a straight four with my first use because it does feel like hair spray and leaves film on anything in the vicinity. But the stiffness went away after brushing so that was fine. I added the additional .5 after a recent snow day. I had to clean off my car in the snow so of course my hair got damp. I was sure my style would be ruined and I’d have to just have flat hair until my next wash day. But nope. My curl held! I was shocked and surprised. I still don’t love the hair spray feel and scent but I’m really impressed with the hold. I really like this product, it's like a hairspray. Helps curls hold really well, not heavy on the hair, not oily or greasy or ick like other heat protectants. Can be used as a finishing spray if you want to. I think for the price $10 the small bottle is super expensive, I wish I went with the bigger bottle. I like the smell and it seems to hold just fine. I will buy the bigger bottle next for $20. Oh well. 2 stars off due to price
