Works great. I had no smoke or flyaways after flat ironing. The hold was good for me having thick, dense hair. If my hair was fine, I would opt for less hold. I tried drying my hair almost all the way with a regular dryer then sprayed this stuff on, THEN used a brush blow dryer. Owwwwww! Don’t use it this way unless you want to rip all the hair out of your head in a most painful way. It was okay for using on dry hair with a flat iron. Or as a hairspray, period. This stuff works perfectly! I have curly hair that I have blowned out straight and flat ironed with Chi Silk infusion every 3,weeks. Twice a month I like to wear some curls so I use a curling iron at home and the curls never stay. So I’m putting extra heat to get them to stay which is terrible! I bought this stuff and my hair holds all day and it’s also protected from the extra heat. I also don’t have to hold the curling iron on it that long at all. This is great to keep your hair healthy. This is a great heat protector , it holds your style for days as well , but the directions say for use on dry hair , I sprayed each section and it was stiff, then brushed through and curled as usual , the style held up , three days later the product is holding a little of the curl. Seems like it controls a little of the oil production , but that is not a claim on the product ! I used this on my natural hair as well as hair extensions and did not leave a residue or noticeable stiff or sticky feeling , the smell is initially an aerosol smell but dries down and does not leave a noticeable pleasant or unpleasant smell very neutral. I am someone who gets very very irritated by strong smells. It will make me nauseous and dizzy and give me headaches and I didn’t even think about it.. I always look for reviews with that information because of the effect it has on me this had no effect. ... show more
