Very easy to assemble. Put most of it together myself. Had to wait for daughter to come over to slide the backrest into the seat. We are short and it is nice to sit and our feet actually touch the floor. Lovely soft velvet sofa to sit and converse or read a book. It is firm and that’s ok by us. We have a big oversized sturdy recliner sofa for watching movies or napping. The fellas can sit there. I don’t know if this sofa could handle rowdy bigger kids leaping on or withstanding too much foolishness. Definitely not for a rumpus room. It is perfect for us 5’1” and 5’3” gals to have tea and visit. Will look very good in holiday photos. Refreshing the paint in the room and removing art. I ordered the loveseat, but was shipped the chair. Within a couple of minutes of contacting Amazon - the seller texted me directly and had me send some photos of the error. They were very kind and pro-active in solving the problem. They sent me the correct item within 2 days. I ended up keeping the chair and the loveseat. They were very easy to put together (I assembled them myself with no assistance). They look fantastic and look as if I bought them all in one piece. A bit tricky to get the black seat in place that holds the cushions. It seems impossible to balance it so the metal cleats line up; but after 2 hours—the 2 of us finally put it together & it looks great!! It definitely takes a couple of non-handymen more than 30 minutes

However, for us it was simply too small and was devoured by the room we hoped it would enrich. COMPANY SENT US A REPLACEMENT!! I DIDN'T EXPECT THIS. THEY CALLED US, BUT BECAUSE OF THE TIME DIFFERENCE WE COULDN'T PICK UP THE PHONE. Although I wasn’t expecting the couch to feel tiny, it is. Not a huge deal since the space I have it in is tiny. It looks great. Easy to install, bright orange color.
