Giving this a 4 star due to day three of owning product. Day one assemble was pretty well explained with instructions sent with product. Left me dog in kennel while out of house for a hour tops. He did great. Day 2 he loved kennel would go lay in cushion that came with kennel and loved it. Day 3 little did I know my dog had a plan of his own (Labrador dog) left house for 30 minutes he completely broke kennel ripped right threw it. Kennel is a total lost now from one frame. So have to give sturdiness a low on rating. Really sad I blew this amount of money to lose it in 3 days. ... show more

We bought this kennel for our growing puppy. We wanted something that would look nicer than her metal crate. We also planned to use the top as a place to feed our cats. (Out of reach from our dog) The crate is sturdy, and a nice neutral color. I love that it has 2 doors, and is versatile. (You can decide which way to face the doors on when putting it together) My dog loves her new space. My only complaint is the latches don't seem as secure as I would like, and the doors jiggle alot when the dog pushes on them. I don't know that they would hold a stronger more aggressive dog. Just little side note: We did add some peel and stick tiles to the floor. To protect and prevent scratches. (There are little holes from the camlocks and screws in the floor too, the tiles covered those up) ... show more

After spending a ton of time researching, very happy to have found this crate. We have a puppy so I'm using a spare shelf (which happened to fit and was also walnut- lucky coincidence) to gradually grow her space as she herself grows. The quality is lovely, it really looks more like a piece of furniture, rather than a dog crate. Not to mention the space above can be used as a sturdy functional surface, which I'd sorely miss with an all-wire design. I added an LED light strip inside to make cleaning up a little easier, plus a camera to evaluate her behaviors. The metal is fairly sturdy, she's doesn't have the strongest mouth but does chew often. Still, I can't imagine should would ever make a dent, let alone get through them. Assembly was straight forward- following the instructions makes life a little easier. Can be a 1 person job but easier to move with 2. Overall, very happy! ... show more

This crate absolutely REEKED of chemicals. I left it in a spare room in our house - with an exhaust fan blowing in the window - for three weeks. It still smelled - and a week after I took it out of there the room **STILL SMELLS LIKE CHEMICALS**. There is no way I would ever put an animal in this crate. It's not safe for humans to be around, let alone a dog with their stronger sense of smell. I wanted to like this item! I bought two. One for a lab and one for a shih tzu and placed on either side of my couch as end tables. Great for saving space, looking great and two birds...one stone. They were well packaged, easy to assemble and even more sturdy than I had anticipated.

Fantastic crate. Looks great with our grey cabinets, and was very easy to assemble. It’s very sturdy and we use it as a table to store stuff on top of. The double gate are very convenient and allows you to set it up pretty much wherever you want

So far this has been super helpful with potty training for our now 4-month-old pup, Kurama. He has only had one accident in it, but other than that he knows it’s his room and doesn’t poop/pee in it. We’ve had it for about a month now, and it had yet to be wrecked. He has not been able to chew or break through, but somehow he managed to escape twice so far by opening the locks. I think it was because we didn’t move the latch all the way to the right where it’s most securely locked. (See photo attached where Kurama escaped and was chewing on my wine bottles.) We ended up taking the bedding out, because Kurama prefers cold, hard surfaces anyway. It’s also super cute and matched my apt perfectly. I like that it blends in as a night stand too. I really like this crate. It is so roomy for my growing chocolate lab and the bedding it comes with is really comfy. We got the Large crate since my pup is still growing but she and I can get in it and still have some room. She should be about 65-70 lbs once full grown. I love the double doors as it allows us to have a camera on one angle to check in on her. She always looks so comfortable when she is inside. The ONLY downside is I wish I knew that the doors were only able to be open in one direction. The lock is on the left of the door(s) and our room config allows for a right lock. We made it work but it would have been nice to be able to change to fit our space better. All in all, great crate! ... show more
