This freezer had a large dent in the back and a large dent in the front lid, which exposes the insulation. This impacts its ability to keep cool air in and keep food items frozen. Not bad but arrived dented, it was assembled with the original shrink wrap plastic which after two hours of tearing, cutting, trimming is still not all off yet! I wish the warehouses would package correctly for long ground transportation as my box had holes in it (see photos) with no interior packaging, items can get damaged like mine did. That plastic material is a real pain to remove using a razor knife carefully so as not to scratch and cause rust. Why not remove plastic before assembly? I don’t think it would stop rust, maybe encourage rust? The dents are in the top so visible, not cool…..brand new and already shows abuse before I powered it on! Plugged it in, started right up. It’s running well so far, dropped temp right down to below zero quickly. 5cu ft is enough to lighten the load in todays new refrigerators which have cheap plastic trays that crack when they get cold and brittle. Transferred all heavy items like meat, frozen pies, ice packs for recreation, bait etc. I can really use this thing and the price point doesn’t break the bank. I’ll update this in 6 months and at 1 year. Purchased the warranty also because in Florida you lose power in thunderstorms once in awhile & who knows? ... show more
