This knife roll is really beautiful, with a gorgeous leather look. No, it it not real leather, but the pu leather looks real and is much easier to care for... really it doesn't need any care beyond wiping it clean as needed. There are lots of different widths of knife pockets, and I was able to quickly fit a variety of knives. I have a few that are too long for the holder, but that's not really a big deal as it flexes around them, or I just put in a different knife. It seems very durable. I'm not sure whether the knives will begin to cut through the bottom over time, but I haven't had any issues thus far, and it would be pretty simple to add an inner liner if needed for a particular knife. Very nice product!

I really like this roll. It has a clean yet rugged look, and it's very durable. The outer material is an artificial leather (stated on the sales page), and it feels very strong. The canvas is really thick and strong, and I do trust it to last a long time. Keep in mind that if you insert the knives unprotected into the roll, they will easily cut the threads separating the holsters. I was able to fit sheaths into each of mine, so hopefully you can do the same. On the note of separating sheaths, I tried to show a few things in the pics regarding my use for them. There is one really narrow one that I thought could possibly be used for a honing rod, but 1) my honing rod is far too large to fit, and 2) the pics on the site show that slot empty, so it does not seem that there was any intention for it to be used. Other honing rods may fit, though. On another note, one of my knives, the Serbian cleaver, did not fit in any of the slots, so I removed two lines of stitching to create slots for my cleaver and my brisket knife. As you can see in the pics, the brisket knife does not fit even with its common 11-inch blade. I'm going to attach a clasp to go around the handle when the bag is rolled up so it doesn't slip out. The inner flap is a bit folded to accommodate it, but I think that'll be fine. Overall I love the bag, and though it's not 100% perfect for my needs, I was able to customize it a bit.

I hate the dull knives that are found at every rental house, there are rarely any decent ones and good luck cutting a tomato. I've been bringing my own but often in something stupid like a paper towel tube. Now I can bring a real assortment and actually protect them. My one issue with this case is they don't have a good solution for shorter knives and I would like an added pouch or another wide spot for a peeler. I like that the outside is in non-absorbable material, because I'm absolutely going to put it in something gross.

A good knife roll bag runs around $50 to $100. They're tough, decently good looking and can hold a lot. Not just knives; you may have some other favorite tools you need. This knife roll is gorgeous; it's glossy but soft leather or simulated leather. The knives never touch that; they only touch the canvas-like liner. Technically it has eight slots (i.e. places to put knives) but some are very slender. It also has elastic above to hold the handles. At just shy of 14" long, it fails to hold one of my favorite Japanese knives, which does have a long handle and a long blade. I do have holders that can take this knife. So you may not be able to push everything you like in it. But the flip side is, other than that and my roast-knife (which, let's face it, is like 18"), everything fits. Including normal chef's knives. The leather handle is a nice touch, as is the flap over the knife handles, to hold them securely. That's pretty standard, but not necessarily at this price point. I did not test durability, and I'm not really convinced it's leather rather than pleather, but it's decently convincing. So this bag looks great, has great features and is low priced. If your knives aren't too long, it's a perfect choice.

This review is for the PoBoSall Chef Knife Bag Roll, Green. I don't travel but I have a lot of knives. I am using the PoBoSall knife roll to store six of my least used knives. (Though the bag will hold seven.) The PoBoSall material is heavy enough that I'm not worried about the knives cutting through. The Velcro closure is secure enough that I'm not worried about the knives spilling out. The size of the bag is convenient for my needs. The green color is attractive. The PoBoSall meets my expectations. Five stars.
