Ok so first off I want to say it's my fault for assuming this was like the other units that have a low 750 / high 1,500 watt setting. I liked this one because the frame was smaller but unfortunately it only does 1,500 watts so I might not be using that heater function at all. It doesn't work all that well anyway. It feels more like a 1,000 watt heater. Ok the real problem lies in the fact that my Sony tv remote interferes with the electric fireplace so it was constantly beeping every time I made a command in Sony tv. The beeping on the fireplace is obnoxious like most heaters, AC's, refrigerators or microwaves. So I opened it up to remove the piezo speaker very easy to do but do it at your own risk and only if you feel comfortable. Disconnect the fireplace from electrical before attempting to modify electric fireplace and never work with it connected to electrical as it can result in injury or death. Also keep in mind this may void the manufacturer warranty (whatever that is probably nothing so I wasn't concerned). You just have to remove all the screws on the back plate of fireplace except the 3 that are lined up horizontally in the middle of fireplace back. When you get it uncovered on the bottom left you'll find the circuit board that has that black round cover. You can pull that off with a set of needle nose pliers. Once you do that remove the metal disc inside (see picture) and pop cover plate back on. Set the fireplace cover back on and screws. That's it no more noise or beeping so you won't wake up the entire house everytime you need to turn it on/off or change settings. The heater function also leaves a lot to be desired as the remote only has one button that cycles from off/99°/95°/90°/etc. until you reach 60°/off and cycles all over again. As I said pretty useless heater system. I got it more for the look and I made my own furniture cabinet because I needed something very low. That doesn't exist online, I'm still working on my stuff so it isn't final but you can get a good idea of what it'll look like. Just need to hide cables, etc. Move some stuff around still but overall I do like the look of the electric fireplace including the various colors but it was missing the carbon strip that goes over the LED lights before you apply rocks and logs. I had to use scotch tape in the meantime to hold them up off from touching LED's or they could overheat and get damaged. I called and they are supposed to be sending a replacement but still no word on when it'll be coming. Overall it's nice as I said but it's not perfect and don't expect a ton of heat from it. Ceramic heaters or oil filled heaters that are rated to 1,500 watts seem to output more heat so like I said although this is rated for 1,500 watts. I don't think it actually is outputting that much as it feels more like medium setting on my other electrical plug in heaters. I would still recommend but would have preferred this unit to have a low 750 watt setting. 3 month review It does put out more heat than I gave it credit for. It actually is concerning that it may be a fire hazard actually. The glass directly above it gets extremely hot 250° to be exact. The wood surface temperature is showing about 140°. This is about 45 min of being on so it should be enough to show real world scenarios of what it would be like to have it on long term. Wood can be combustible at 200° if it's dry enough and exposed to that temperature long enough. Drywall actually has a lower threshold of 190° I won't be leaving this unit on if I walk away but something to be aware of. The unit is still working great and I've added my own wood pieces to give it a better look. ... show more

Very surprised on how Entertaining this fireplaces is. Extremely easy to install. The instructions are not real clear on the attachment method. They suggest a cutting back the drywall 3/4" which is really not necessary. It only sticks out the thickness of the side brackets. It is light enough for one person to install the fireplace without the glass but it's really a lot easier to have two people to install the glass as it clips in in a very small space on each side. I did both myself. If you're considering doing one of these, this is a great value. Very happy! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I got the 72 inch. I love it. I did a wall mount. It basically has like 6 color options for flames. (No purple or pink.) The cord is on the right in case that matters. The heat vent blows from the top front outward. I have only had it for two weeks now. But there is a video for you. The remote is so cheap. Fireplace is nice. I bought another 60 inch for bedroom and bought my mom one also. I will update if it shits the bed. Sleek. I kept the logs out. Mirrored glass on the back to make flames appear more. Some flames are nice and high and abundant and some colors are not. ... show more
