When I see crappy blouses sold for what I paid for this heavy, WOOL BLEND coat I can’t see why anyone would complain! If you order I strongly recommend you spend some time with a cloth measuring tape. I weigh 208 and am 5’8½” tall. My hips are 50”. Others have mentioned that the fit is boxy — it is, but _not_ absolutely! Just be honest about your size and remember that almost everything coming out of China is sized small. My greatest fear in ordering this coat was that an XXL (2X) would be too small. It isn’t! So use my size as a guide if it helps. The reasons for why I chose Camel are numerous, but first — before anything else — I wanted the coat to flatter me. That means I want the buttons to be DARK so they break up my fat and make me appear slimmer than I am (it’s an old Hollywood technique, it fools the eyes). So a color like Beige was out of the question because the buttons are lost in the color of the coat. Next up, the color. I chose Camel because it can go with almost everything in _any_ season. I seriously considered the Blue but — I really need those buttons to be dark to get the slimming effect of the double breast contrast. It was close. I _love_ the Blue and if I buy a second coat I would immediately replace the buttons. We’ll see. The coat is not the heaviest coat I've ever had but it is by no means light! It is an honest to God coat ladies. When you feel the fabric you can feel the wool in it — an important point. For the price it’s a steal! I’m used to paying $100+ for a heavy wool coat. If it goes on sale I’m going to be all over it in Blue (I will have to change those naughty buttons however). Plus ladies this is your coat if your measurements are similar to mine. Order it in XXL and be beautiful! You’re worth it!

This is a fabulous jacket! Perfect fit. Great fabric. Hangs well and looks great! Very warm! Sleeve length is great. I turned them up for a small cuff. Love the double breasted look. Great for dress or casual! Highly recommend.

Honestly, my expectations for a woolen jacket at this price point were relatively low. I was just looking for something reasonably good-looking to toss on during the normal transition of the seasons and the unseasonably cool, lingering weather this year. But the quality of the fabric and finishing has been a most welcome surprise, and it’s marvelous that the long sleeves are designed to just turn up into cuffs, so I don’t have to pay for alterations. The handsome neutral colors are also appreciated, very chic. However, I did have to exchange for a size larger. The fit is a bit narrow over the hips. UPDATE: The next larger size was awful! Not just roomy but sloppy and oversized. Unlike the smaller size, the sleeves did not just fold back smoothly into cuffs. They must have been cut narrower at the wrist because the fabric underneath pleated. The effect was not chic but Bag Lady Dressed in Castoffs. Unacceptable! What a disappointment.
