Where we live has some of the hardest water I've ever seen. We can't have a water softner due to medical conditions so this works great for saving our clothing. NICE

  • I hate washing my yoga pants!
Item Package Quantity: 1 Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
no one is writing in with my problem!! I love to wear yoga pants when I don't feel like dressing up. I have a lot of stuff from athlete (that costs a fortune to purchase) and if u have EVER READ THE LABEL on clothes that come with wicking or quick dry u know u CANNOT WASH THEM WITH FABRIC SOFTENER!!!!! that said I have to do a separate load of laundry every week just for my socks and these items. 2 days ago I had just about had it when my quick dry capris came out of the wash looking like the photo above. ahhhhhh. now I have to take a wet rag and wipe everything down to get rid of the white. I went online to do some research and there were a bunch of reasons listed.... 1. overfilled washing machine. 2. to much fabric softener. 3. undissolved detergent. 4.to much detergent. 5. clogged water pump. 6. oh and my problem that I didn't know I had HARD WATER. their solutions were to use a 1/2 cup of borax in the wash or switch to a MORE EXPENSIVE DETERGENT like Tide or Persil.... or buy this product. I use purex and I have at least 20 bottles lying around bc it is always bogo, so I didn't want to have to get rid of them all and switch to expensive tide... when has that ever been bogo. thanks tide... anyways I had decided to buy a small bottle of tide and just use it to wash this small load each week and then I read about this product on amazon. what the hell $18 and overnight shipping. so I wasted $18 if it didn't work. who hasn't... I rushed home after working 12 hours to DO LAUNDRY. ok so I used the 1/2 tablespoon they recommended with my CHEAP PUREX in a very small load and these pants above are BLACK AGAIN. no white on them. I wish I could figure out how to add that photo as well but it hasn't transferred over yet from my iCloud... weird... the other pants were so soft that I made my boyfriend stop playing Nintendo to feel them. to b fair they had a few almost not even noticeable spots on them, so next time I will use a full scoop. in the past I wouldn't have even wiped off the white that was left behind on those... that's how little I'm talking about. people r saying to put it int the dishwasher... im going to try that after I wash the dishes that r waiting to b washed later today... no one is mentioning the warning label on amazon though. it says not to consume it bc it could cause cancer... im not going to wash my dishes and then eat off of them with this stuff in it, but I will wash the dishwasher empty with this stuff and c what happens. oh side note... I didn't know I had hard water at my house until a couple of months ago I BROKE ANOTHER SINK FAUCET. and not a cheap 1. that's the 4th 1 since I moved in 15 years ago... 4. I took the inside to a plumbing store to try and get the cartridge replaced. the guy opened it up and said, "lady u got really hard water at ur house." ok so that's why I can't keep a faucet from breaking. if that's the water that is in the kitchen sink... hmm same water going into my dishwasher. dishwasher u will be getting treated to a wash soon. I hope this book I just wrote helps somebody out there. I have been getting pissed off once a week for 2 years now with this problem... y didn't I check the internet sooner. I haven't tried on the clothes yet. someone said that it caused her family ants in the pants, but if I don't have any problems u won't be hearing from me again. oh there's another load of laundry drying rt now... the regular stuff... all I want to do is laundry now...lol ... show more

  • How did this go from 18.99 to 34.99 in 10 months?
Item Package Quantity: 1 Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
This product seems to work - it's hard to tell. Clothes are still a bit scratchy and feel like there is residue, but not as bad as before. However, I went to buy another bag and the price has almost doubled. With no explanation. I get that "Covid" and "The Economy" and "Inflation" has raised prices but I have not seen this kind of inflation in other products. I suspect the company is taking advantage of the whole situation and trying to increase profit per sale. I will look for some other hard water softener, this is ridiculous. ... show more

  • tired of smelly clothes
I love this product so much, I had to write my first ever product review on this product. We have very very hard water in our home. It's so hard that we LITERALLY have to use a pumice stone to clean the hard water stains from off of our toilets and shower, and I do mean literally; any hard water stain cleaner such as CLR just doesn't do anything at all. Anyways, for several years we have had to put up with smelly and dingy clothes. Sometimes our clothes would smell so bad after being washed, that we would have to throw it straight back in the dirty laundry pile. Our clothes would always have this "faint and distant" smell of sour milk and urine. Although on hot and humid days this smell would not be so distant anymore, but in your face (nose) stinky. It was embarrassing to stand too close to people knowing how bad I smelled. In fact for years ( about a decade) I have been taking my clothes to get dry cleaned, instead of laundered at home, because as a business professional, I obviously can't walk around smelling like sour milk and urine. However, my wife still laundered my under clothes, tee shirts, briefs, and socks, because it would be too cost prohibitive to get those dry cleaned as well. Nonetheless, that smell would still manifest itself in what seemed the worst possible moments. The straw that broke the camels back was when I had my first meeting with a high level administrator in my new job and I was trying to make a good first impression, and there I was smelling like sour milk and urine (it was an especially hot and humid day). I had had enough! I went online and did some research and came across this product. So based on the reviews I bought it. And I did my own laundry using this product. And for the first time in several years my clothes smelled clean. I had forgotten how clean clothes were supposed to smell like, and it smelled wonderful. I would pick up every single piece of under clothes and press it tightly against my nose and take deep breathes through each garment trying to pick up the faintest smell of sour milk and urine, but it had COMPLETELY VANISHED!!!!!! Our clothes now smell fresh and clean. I love it! My kids love it! And my wife loves it! I buy this stuff two or three cans at a time. We will not do any laundry without it. I wish they sold it in bigger containers. Don't hesitate. Buy it. IT WORKS GREAT!!!!!!!! ... show more

We have well water so it's a little on the hard side. Our clothes weren't coming out completely clean so I decided to try something new! I'm so glad I did....switching over to Charlie's has been the best decision ever!!! This stuff is AMAZING & it doesn't take as much as the regular detergents!!

  • Clothes don’t smell as bad anymore
Item Package Quantity: 1 Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Been using this product for 18 months. Between it and adding an extra rinse cycle my clothes don’t smell nearly as bad as they used to due to excessively hard water. I started using soap from this brand (3-4 times) and when I ran the “Affresh” cycle (with my Lemi-Shine cleaner) I was surprised at how few mineral flakes came loose. I would recommend this for use in very hard water. ... show more
