Solid Product and sprays well. It is a little tippy when set on the floor and has some balance issues especially when empty. The handle doesn't have a real smooth feeling pumping action to it... its hard to tell sometimes if its working but it is. Using this on 4 acres of fence line. No leaks and easy to wear with no pressure points. Easy to operate and works just fine for weed killer.

    • This works well but the straps are a pain
The unit worked on a 1/4 acre spraying job but when it is full the straps dug in a little. For the homeowner this is tolerable but I wouldn't want to use it everyday without modifying the straps. I bought it for limited use and for that it was fine. I see this being used in the future more than I thought. ... show more

    • Meh. I've had Chapins last 10 years. This one only one.
Good for a year, with only about a half-year's use (warm season). The soft portion on the bottom side of the pump ruptured. Otherwise, everything else is good!🤣

    • save your money and buy soming else
I was after a high quality backpack sprayer that would last. This was recommended to me as the best and was told I should pay the extra for the diaphragm pump. I put 6 tanks of spray through in 2 days of using it before the diaphragm pump started leaking. I rinsed it very well following the instructions after using it. I called up the distributor in Australia and was told the pump was not covered by warranty and a replacement pump would cost 70% of the price of the unit. No sorry and no explanation why a unit described as high quality would fail after minimal use. Waste of money and of my time!!!!! ... show more

    • Great Sprayer
I’m in the Carpet Cleaning business. This pushes down my mixed product into the carpet fibers even more. It’s a little clumsy when trying to walk down into a home with the stem fixed to the top of the sprayer, before falling off, but still a great and powerful sprayer.

    • Poorly designed
I replaced a SOLO backpack sprayer with this model. What a disappointment! The diaphragm pump was what pushed me to this particular model. As it turns out the diaphragm rubs against the pump axel and gets stuck on the return about half way up. It just looks like the bigger diaphragm pump was put on the same lesser model. Even if you accepted the fact that you have to pull the lever up on every pump, it is putting lateral pressure against the diaphragm which I am sure will make it wear out much more quickly. A bigger and surprising aggravation was the fact that there is no belt. My SOLO has a padded waist belt which I deem essential when you are schlepping 40 pounds of water on your back. I was very sore after a hour of use. There is none pictured, so I guess that is my fault. ... show more
