My family shares a bedroom and this is the closest thing we could give my oldest to a room of her own! It’s exactly as described, was relatively easy to set up, and she loves it. For us, it was a perfect fit, but here are some notes from our experience that may be helpful. 1. My daughter’s bed is a low loft. This tent would be too tall for a standard bunk. 2. The poles are moderately difficult to insert, especially if you do what we did and put the mattress inside first. I would recommend inserting the poles before the mattress. 3. The tent had an odd smell initially but went away after a day or two. 4. If you have it closed completely, it can get hot, so I keep one of the mesh sides open for airflow. 5. I can have a lamp on or watch TV (low volume) at night without disturbing her. It’s not noise canceling. ... show more

Bought it for both my children that live sleeping in enclosed areas (makes them feel safer and comforted) only complaint is the zippers are a little to thin for my preference. Twin size mattress fits in perfectly with plenty of room for them to chill!!
