I had trouble putting the hose onto the container and first gave this product 1star. In retrospect, I went to put container back in box, I happened to find the connector part loose in bottom of box. THEN I WAS ABLE TO CONNECT THE HOSE !! I WOULD RECOMMEND TO THE COMPANY TO ATTACH IT THE CONTAINER.

Can not connect the sprayer due to a product redesign. Poor experience

Ordered the Chapin 16200 sprayer to treat my lawn. Then realized the pump does not fit on the hosel tank (the piece was to small for the hosel). When I looked at the instruction, a connector was missing. So I ordered another one from Amazon and same issue. I called Chapin and they confirmed that they did a product redesign of the pump that does not fit on the tank and a new connector was needed. Apparently some units shipped without this connector. I asked if they should recall the existing stock from Amazon and add the connector to avoid confusion but they said the customer should call them for the connector. Thought that was a poor experience as most customer will just end up returning the unit as defective which I did. I returned both units and purchased a different brand spray pump locally so I can start on the lawn. Such a disappointment and waste of time. I having a feeling lots of others have returned or will return this product until Chapin figures out a way to add the connector in those boxes that are missing it.

Durable and Affordable Budget Sprayer

Just bought this, so I may change my review after a few weeks' use, but I felt it important to include something I hadn't seen in other reviews about this product. If you first assemble it and find you have no pressure build-up, unscrew the pump and take it back out. Turn it upside down in proper lighting, and check the rubber O-ring gasket to see if it's popped out of its channel up inside the cap. This was the case for me and why the sprayer would not build pressure. Just grab a flathead screwdriver and pop it back into place! Otherwise, once I got it working, it built up pressure great, sprayed for a long time between pumps, and the lock is awesome so you don't have to hold down the lever the whole time you are spraying. I also made sure to rinse it all out when done to avoid any gunk build-up on the nozzle, which is a common thing across most sprayer models. For the price, the material is very durable, not that cheap, thin plastic that many things are built with today. The thickness reminds of me of larger plastic gas cans, with thick plastic and thick threads. Until I pony up for an expensive backpack sprayer, this'll do nicely.
