The media could not be loaded. I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of this soundbar! It came well-packaged, looks sleek and well-made, and the controls on the end of the bar are easy to access. It can be used to connect to a phone via Bluetooth and I had no issues making the connection. It comes with its own remote control (2 AAA batteries not included) but my TV remote works to control the volume as well when connected. When connected to my 4K LG TV, the Bluetooth connection is only stereo sound and the sound quality is basic: amplified but not notable one way or the other. To make sure I had an optimal connection (and for a fair review), I tried three different connection methods including Bluetooth, optical and HDMI (ARC). The video included in this review has the same movie scene recorded starting with internal TV sound followed by Bluetooth, optical and lastly HDMI (ARC). Though there wasn’t a substantial difference between optical and HDMI connections, I found HDMI had the best tone and clarity and easily surpassed the sound quality of the internal tv speakers and stereo Bluetooth. I used Amazon Basics HDMI and optical cables (not included with the soundbar). My TV did not automatically select the correct settings and would not play sound via HDMI (ARC) nor optical, so I had to go to “additional settings” followed by “sound” and select “PCM” from the “Digital Sound Out” menu. After doing this, both optical and HDMI connections worked. While comparing connections, I kept the volume the same on the soundbar as a control. I left the settings at neutral positions for bass and treble to get the best comparison but with some tweaking you can optimize the quality to your liking. I relied a lot on customer reviews of this sound bar. Wish I would have deeper dived into its max volume output. This bar's sound quality does a fairly good job of enhancing music treble(good highs) bass(good lows). I did expect it to be SUBSTANTIALLY louder than it is?!? The volume level peaks out at "32" on the front display of the bar; never recall seeing 32 as the max volume on any instrument or device? Installed it for use with my smart TV on my covered deck (easy install and easy set up). I will keep it as it is adequate and I don't want to deal with repackaging, returning, etc. ... show more

I bought this soundbar for my TV in the detached garage. I originally had it hooked to my Samsung TV in my living room just to evaluate it before moving it outside. On my Samsung, I had it connected to the ARC HDMI port. I did not really like how the volume from the soundbar took over as the default level when adjusting the volume but that's not really anything to complain about. I like the volume control at the end of the soundbar and the buttons on the side are easy to adjust. After my evaluation, I moved the soundbar to a TCL Roku TV in the garage. I could not get the sound to work using the HDMI cable. I tried adjusting the TV settings and changing the HDMI cable, but I could not get it to work. I had an optical cable that I connected to the TV and the sound was impressive. It was a much better sound coming from the optical cable. I have the soundbar mounted to the wall underneath the TV. There is one design flaw concerning the mounting brackets and using HDMI. Because of the tips on the HDMI cables, there is not enough room between the wall and the HDMI connection on the soundbar to allow the soundbar to fit flush up against the wall. If using the wall mount, you will have to use the optical cable or the AUX cable. Having to use the optical cable was actually a blessing in disguise. It provided a more superior sound than any of the other connections. Also, the Bluetooth connection to my phone has a really good sound. Of the 4 EQ presets, I like EQ1 the best. The remote is pretty nice too. The buttons are easy to read, and I can almost make adjustments without looking at them. Overall, it's not bad and I have been pleased with it. This speaker system is flexible to set-up - it can be connected via HDMI cable or Bluetooth. Fantastic price point for the well made pieces and sound quality. No equalizer function, but has good balance. Voice dialogue is much clearer to hear now, treble and low end sound are "crisp", and "smooth". LOVE the ability to use a single TV remote after set-up, to control the sound level, and "mute" if desired. Haven't used a lot of the features, like playing sound directly from the USB port - but might be useful later... ... show more

Bought this to replace a 24 Year old BOSE system. Tried Blue Tooth connection, would not appear on any Blue Tooth device Laptops, IPADS, IPHONES. Tried the HDMI(ARC) on one of the TVs, same thing. AUX did not work either. The Instructions for Blue Tooth says to turn on the Sound Bar with no other connection and it will automatically appear, did not show up. Went back to the instructions for each connection same thing no sound. ... show more
