Let me break down why I'm giving it a full five stars. First and foremost, the quality is outstanding. The blinds feel robust and well-constructed, not flimsy or cheap like others I've encountered. A significant and immediate plus was the complete absence of any chemical or "off-gassing" smell. All the necessary hardware was provided, and the markings on the blinds themselves made measuring and alignment foolproof. I was a little anxious about measuring my windows correctly, but the blinds I received matched my measurements perfectly. They fit into the window frames exactly as intended, with no unsightly gaps or overhangs. The blackout performance is phenomenal. Cheap and easy to install roller blinds! I recently purchased this roller shade for my home, and I’m extremely pleased with the overall quality and value! The installation was surprisingly simple—everything I needed was included in the package and the instructions were clear enough that I had it mounted in under fifteen minutes. The shade feels sturdy and well-constructed, with smooth edges and fabric that looks more premium than I expected at this price point. What I like most is how smoothly it operates. The rolling mechanism raises and lowers without snagging or making noise, which is something I’ve had issues with on other brands. It also does a great job blocking sunlight during the afternoon, keeping the room cool and preventing glare on my computer screen. It works surprisingly well even despite the crooked + uneven window wells in our old farmhouse! We both exclaimed with an audible “wow!” Once the shades were installed + we saw how dark the room got. The color is exactly as shown in the listing—clean, modern, and easy to match with my décor. One small thing to note is that the shade is slightly narrower than the total measurement due to the mounting hardware, but this is fairly standard and didn’t affect its performance for my window. I Have An Opening In Our Laundry Room And Needed A Shade Or Curtain To Close It Off. This Pull Down Shade Works Very Well For That Purpose. The Quality Of The Product Is Okay, The Shade Can Bend Easily If Not Taken Care Of Gently. I'm Not Sure Of The Room Darkening Aspect Of It, I'm Going To Assume That Works Well, Because It's Solid Through And No Light Goes Through It From The Inside Of The House. The Pull Down Feature Works Well And It Retracts With Guidance From You Slightly Pushing Upwards.

Update #3 11/29/23: I bought my second shade of this size in the spring for a window in another room that gets direct sun and heat for several hours a day. We had a BRUTAL summer and the shade helped keep the sun and heat from heating up the room through that window. About a month ago I bought a third one for a window behind my couch that is on the opposite side of the house than my other two and it keeps out the blinding reflection of the sun from a large shed window in mid afternoon. I'm buying a 33" for another window when I finish with this update. To say I am a satisfied customer is an understatement. **Two years later...... This shade is still kicking butt. It still rolls up and down with ease and best of all, it DOES keep that brutal summer heat from coming through, full stop. I have another window I plan to buy a shade for before summer sets in. Another great thing about these is when I get a migraine I can pull this shade down and it blocks the light that does me no favors. I do end up tacking the sides down with a few pieces of painter's tape when the afternoon sun is super strong but other than that, it's a perfect shade for blocking 99.9% of the light. My shade is not 'in' a window as I live in a mobile home and our windows are flush with the walls so I don't have four sides of light glowing around the edges. I installed it several inches above the window and am able to roll it down a few inches past the bottom of the window and the width is a couple of inches coverage on either side. I put up a valence to cover the hardware that is not so attractive. Original review: I needed a window covering for the window above my kitchen sink and after 9 years I finally found The One. The afternoon summer sun on this window is brutal, even with Gila film on the glass and "room darkening" blinds. I was also using blackout curtains but they were a pain in the butt and fabric + heavily used kitchen sink = nothing good. This shade blocks out the sun for sure, and I'm hoping it will block or at least minimize the heat that comes through in the summer months. I guess I'll find out soon. The hardware is not attractive so I made a valance to hang over that part and it looks great. Now to replace every blind in my house with these is my next home improvement mission. Far less expensive and easier than replacing all the windows with more efficient ones.

We were super excited about getting this shade. The first one we received had some damage but after contacting the seller customer service was really helpful and replaced the defective one for us really quickly. We are happy with the quality and it is easy to operate. We plan to purchase more of these for the future and put them on all our windows. It is great at keeping the light out and the temperature cool which is a necessity here in Texas.

The Shade itself is thick and works well. Delivery was fast. When it came the plastic pull down handle was broken in half. I have it glued but have not tried it yet. Hopefully it will work normally. For this reason I gave 3 stars.
