These are great for a temporary window covering, especially if you want something that looks nicer than a blanket pinned to the wall. We bought them when we first moved in and had them for over two months without any of them falling down or tearing. Installation was super easy--it really is as simple as measuring the window, cutting the paper to the proper length (though its so thick it takes a little finagling), and sticking the adhesive to the top of the window. The clips that come with it are enough to hold the shade up if you want it open. It's a little clunky, but it works. We kept it down most of the time. The longer the shades are installed, the more they start stretching out. Just be aware that by the end of a month or two, a lot of the shade will bunch up on the bottom of the sill and start coiling out if it's disturbed. It's annoying, but this is a temporary solution, and for it's purpose, it works. Just know that will happen and you can either cut the excess off, or plan to order actual blinds within the next couple months. Overall, I'm happy I bought these, and they work really well as a temporary solution.

Perfect, low cost, easy to install they are still hanging up 48 hours later, provide a false sense of security and safety when living on a main road but they are a perfect addition to the cameras and friend who sleeps across the street and secures the home.

These are heavy paper. Even with being heavy they tear easy. However they definitely black out all light. Easy to install and use. Once you pull them down they will not roll up so they are not adjustable if you need something that can be adjusted up or down often then this is not what you want. Can be cut to needed length without a problem. Fits standard sized windows. This was used on a back porch that was encased completely in glass windows. You could not see in from the outside with lights on either in case anyone needs that information.

I use these as an additional layer between my plantation shades and drapes on the windows since I'm in the deep south and the sun is brutal. They do make a difference. The clips are plastic but work. The strip of adhesive is VERY sticky, so when you put them up, do not make a mistake, you must be precise. I, unfortunately, got some little crinkles in mine. Another person helping with the placement would be wise, but not necessary. They were easy to cut with paper scissors. On cloudy days, they let enough light in when I pull back the blackout drapes, or you can use the clips and fold them up, which I do about half way.

Save money for privacy while you wait for your permanent blinds? Guess not, because the sticky tape that holds it to your window frame pulls off the painted surface.
