The peel-off tape on these blinds says 3M, whereas less quality blinds say nothing on the tape. I’ve used both now, and the sturdiness of these blinds is much higher quality and do not tear as easily nor do they tear if you use a little Scotch tape on them to hold in place on the sides then remove the tape, unlike those from WalMart. I bought them to stick directly onto the window behind dark brown wooden blinds and curtains that absorb heat that filters into the rooms. These are helping tremendously to keep the heat out when direct sunlight hits the windows. White reflects heat, black retains heat, so choose white if you live in the desert like I do. They’re also light filtering enough to darken the rooms beyond what the blinds and curtains already accomplish. These come in a long box so they’re not folded, I used a box cutter to trim to size, very easy to do. Time will tell how well they remain stuck to the glass. If they fall, I’ll use Velcro dots to put them back up.

I am the type of person who can't sleep with any light source, and suffered from the morning sunlight (I have huge picture windows in my bedroom). I tried many eye covers, but they all ended up in the wrong place in the morning, and the light can still wake me up. Since the picture is huge, it is very hard to find the right size shades and they are all very expensive. This Changshade fixed this problem perfectly. It came in with 6 sets (See Pic1), they are all light weighted and very easy to install and modify. Each set comes with double-sided tape, and ready to stick on the window frame (takes less than 1 min to install). You can also customize them into any length and size simply by cutting. The best part is the shading capability. First I was a little worried since they are thin and lightweight. I first tested with the iPhone flashlight, I can't see any light shine through even when I put the flashlight very close to the shades. Then I install the Changshades to cover half of my huge picture window (See Pic2), just to show the comparison and how strong the sunlight outside. As you can see, no glowing no light leaking in, they work perfectly. If you want to enjoy the sunlight sometime, you can simply fold them up and use the clip that came in with the shades to adjust to any length that you want. In general, This product is an easy and effective fix for the light problem. Great value for the buck. Highly recommended to people who can't sleep with light or vampires.

Easy to use and hang. Bought these as temp window blinds/shades. They are exactly that. I was able to take down the old horrible curtains and replace them with these. We are deciding what we really want as a permanent solution. Good value and easy to trim to desired width/length and they look nice.

The product works, it blocks light very well, that part is really good. They stick pretty well but they stretch out and also will unstick if you pull them up and down. At this point, I've just left my windows closed all the time because I don't want to deal with putting them up and down, and am going to find a replacement soon.

I live in South TX. It starts getting hot in May. I needed these to block out the sun in my living room so that I can watch TV and keep the room cool. They are easy to install and they do block out the light. Raising and lowering to the height that you would like is not a problem.
