The Champion Power Equipment 11008 10,000-lb. Truck/SUV Winch Kit is designed for powerful and reliable winching with your truck or SUV. With a rated line pull of 10,000 pounds, the strong 3.6HP (12V DC) series wound motor will help make sure you get the job done. With a gear reduction ratio of 216:1, the winch boasts a line speed of 3.9 feet per minute with a full load, and 15.7 feet per minute with no load. The 85-foot by ⅜ -inch galvanized, super-duty aircraft cable is less prone to fraying, even when used in highly abrasive terrain, such as in rocks, mud, or sand. This incredibly strong cable is guided onto the 2.5 by 8.8-inch drum through the reliable roller fairlead to maximize the life of the cable. The efficient three-stage planetary gear system, dynamic braking system and free spooling clutch along with the hand- held quick-connect remote control and 12-foot cable offer excellent control while winching..

I made a custom hoist for the back of a ride on mower and this was the perfect accessory. I'm a retired tow truck driver and I used a winch on a daily basis for 15 years. This little guy is a bit noisy and slow(ish) but thats from a guy use to hydraulic professional winches. I have had almost 900lbs on it and it doesn't mind but the mower did. I have pulled fence posts both metal and 4" round wood out of the ground with it. BTW the instructions say do not use as hoist. Its now a year old and this review is really late... But the good news is it been out in the northern Nevada desert weather (snow, blowing sand, 110-F summers, fluke thunder storms) 24/7 worked nearly every day and going strong. Its weathered but no sign of rust or corrosion. If it "broke" right now this review would stand since it has more than served than expeced for the price. The most handy thing to have around didn't realize how much I use it but its almost daily. I made a scraper blade and the winch handles the up and down for that and a 5' rake attachment. I made a dump trailer out of a 55 gallon drum and I use the winch to lift the trailer to dump it. It Even on the mowers battery I can use it for 5 minutes (respooling the cable under 500lbs load) and still start the mower. I got 2 more, 1 is going on a jib hoist mounted to a trailer and the other is going on the front of the mower. ... show more

bought this on Amazon warehouse deals for a steal! i was interested because it came with everything i needed in the kit. i was a little hesitant because it is only rated at 4500# and i planned on using it for my car trailer but i couldn't pass on the deal. after installing it in a modified old breaker box. (which is perfect for hiding everything out of the weather)i very easily wired it up on the trailer with a car battery. i tested it out right away with pulling a car on the trailer and it did not struggle at all!! im very pleased, this works perfectly for a car trailer. i also purchased the champion snatch block which will really improve the pulling on the trailer. the wireless remote is definitely a life saver and can also use the handlebar switch as a backup. everything in this kit is well made, thank you!! ... show more

I feel bad for the ppl trying to sell this junk. the motor didn't work outa the box, i called in the support like like it says to. Did exactly what they told me to confirm it was all together, which it was, and they just wanted to argue with me. STAY AWAY FROM CHAMPION POWER EQUIPMENT! ... show more

My Harbor Fright 2500 winch lasted one day before it fell apart, only winching 700lbs. This little Champion has a higher rating, set right up using the BadLands remote setup and pulls like a train. You can see the difference in quality right out of the box, and it was not much more than the garbage one, plus it has a higher rating. Wow this thing is cheap. Used it 1 time for a winch on my 4 wheeler plow. Couldnt even finish my driveway. The cheap cable broke 2 times and the winch had some cheap metal gear blow apart. Good thing I didnt need it to pull my wheeler out because it never would have worked.

I just received the Champion 3000lb winch kit and installed it on my Honda ATV to lift a Swisher dump bucket. The winch works fine but when I you press the winch in, or winch out buttons they usually fail to work. As a result, I have to keep re-pressing the buttons 5, or 6 times until it finally activates the the winch. Very frustrating. I'll try to contact Champion to see if they will replace the control box and wiring. Other than that it pulls strong and it holds loads without drifting. I just called Champion Customer Service and they agreed to send a new control box. I should get it next week. ... show more

I bought the Champion 4500-lb winch kit for my 2017 Honda Pioneer 1000-5. I needed to buy "KFI Products 101285 Winch Mount for Honda Pioneer 1000" in order to mount this winch to my UTV. After watching several videos on YouTube, I was able to install the winch without any problems. Fortunately, the instructions provided in the mounting kit from KFI were much better than the instructions provided in the Champion winch kit, and installation was fairly straightforward. Dealing with all the wire when making the electrical connections was a little challenging, but after cutting off a lot of excess and using a fist full of tie wraps, it all looks pretty good. Other than testing the system, I have not had to use the winch to get me out of a tough spot yet, but based on it's performance so far, I'm happy with this purchase. Highly recommend. ... show more

Yest another update...the reverse out option fixed itself....and quit working AGAIN...still no response from champion. JUST HAD IT IN FREE WHEEL WITH IT ATTACHED TO MY TOW HITCH AND WAS COASTING IN REVERSE SO THAT I COULD RE SPOOL IT EVENLY AND IT YANKED COMPLETELY OFF THE DRUM WITH NO WARNING!! WASN'T EVEN ON THE THROTTLE. JUST COASTING BACKWARDS AT 1MPH HAVE TO DISASSEMBLE AND SEE IF IT'S EVEN REPAIRABLE! The bolts are low grade bolts but for some reason every grade 8 bolt I tried would not work to replace them. I believe they are 5/6 but I tried multiple thread pitches and none worked, which is odd. Good thing this isn't expected to work at full capacity, just trailer loading and maybe the rare getting stuck off road. Wiring is a tiny bit confusing but not at all impossible, wish they provided other cable ends etc so you can shorten the excess cabling because it is a bit of a mess. My wireless remote works great when reeling the cable in but when letting it out the unit clicks every second and the cable only maybe feeds a centimeter at a time if that. The rocker switch functions normally in both directions, but I paid extra for wireless... No help from Champion via phone or email. :( ... show more
