The thermostat is simple to install and activate. Works great. The Alexa software needs work. The hunches settings don’t allow for specific corrections that might help it learn faster. Kept adjusting to the home setting in the middle of the night while I was asleep, turning the temp down. The schedule isn’t much better, clunky and you have to repeat settings for each day. I got this. Thought I had a c wire. I did not. You can buy a c wire adapter through Amazon as well. However, the install process on that requires accessing your furnace paneling and running new wires. I found a 12v wall plug adapter that works great. It’s just tacky looking right now with the wiring being outside the wall. I’ll eventually run it through the wall. Once the product turns on, it’s super easy to set up. The only thing which I find disappointing with the Amazon Wifi thermostat, which I purchased as a replacement for an earlier wifi thermostat no longer supported by its manufacturer after nearly 10 years, is the Amazon model that it will only report to a single Email account. Other than that it is fully functional and actually does the job better than the one it replaced. I am working to find a work around so that it can be controlled by more than one mobile device allowing all members of the household to be able to monitor and control which appears to be that all using the thermostat will have to be on the same Amazon account. ... show more

So bought refurbished to save money came with no instructions yes you use the app but need a QR code that are on the instructions, this did not come with any so made the install longer. Easy install

Great working smart thermostat, great price on refurbished unit! Integrates effortlessly with Alexa. On the downside, product support through Amazon was as bad as it can possibly get. The people on the phone do not listen to the customer and switch you between the vendor which is Honeywell, and their support and did nothing to solve the problem, nor did they care. Amazon, go back to your phone recordings to hear what happened. I almost returned the product in till on a hunch, I replaced my aging Echo Dot, which was the issue. Their support team should have figured that out in a couple of minutes, but they were to vested in kicking the customer off the phone to another department rather than trouble shoot the issue. This is a very simple smart thermostat. I already have an Alexa device on every floor of my house so getting this was simple. Hunches could be a bit better but it’s not a nest and nowhere near the price of a new nest thermostat so I can’t complain to much.
