If it wasn't for the fact that my brakes were down to an 1/8 of a pad left I would have returned them. The manufacturer choose to reduce the pad by approximately 1/2 by not having the pad cover the entire backing plate with brake pad. There is no pad on approximately 2 inches per side of the backing plate so thick pad in the middle only which reduces the life of the pad and brake to rotor contact coverage.
