This can be dressed up or down, depending on your decor. It isn't large, so probably not great for a sole kitchen fixture. However, it would look great in a foyer/entryway or dining room. While it is not difficult to assemble, installation does require a bit of electrical knowledge/understanding. For the look and the price, this is a nice addition to your home decor. The bulbs (E12) are not standard or included, so you'll need to order them. The higher the wattage, the brighter the light, but make sure you stay within parameters.

If you like the look of this light, then there's nothing I'll say to discourage you. My wife is changing much of our house over to "farmhouse" type decor, and this light fit the bill for her taste. I installed it in our master bath last week. It was simple enough to put up. I can't recall looking at any instructions, so that's a good sign! Keep in mind that this light requires bulbs with the small threaded base (E12), so make sure you have those (of the right wattage) on hand if you order this light. For our bathroom, we use 60-watt equivalent led bulbs. The 'Edison' type bulbs look nice in this fixture.

It's a cute chandelier type light. Not very big, better as an accent not as a main light in the room. You will need to know how to hardwire a light. So this isn't going to be an installation that just anyone can do unless you know about electrical work. The chandelier requires assembly. The whole chain has to be put together, the rod and sockets need to be screwed into the mounting plate. It's simple enough, but just takes a little time. There are instructions.

My kitchen decor is country farmhouse decor. I had an old silver 3 globe chandler in my kitchen that did not go with my decor. So, I was on the hunt for a new kitchen fixture that would complement my theme in my kitchen. I came across this one and I knew rig away it would work with it. When it arrived, it was in a few separate pieces that needed to be assembled. I left that up to my husband since I am not one to deal with anything to do with electricity. The chandler itself is of great quality. The base if made of metal bars, and they are sturdy and thick but not too thick to the point of being too heavy where it would be in jeopardy of falling from the ceiling. It also has the twine rope wrapped around the metal bars that gives it the modern country feel to it. The chain link allows you to leave it long or shorten it to the length that you need for the space that you are using it in, which is great option and very versatile. It was easy installing for my husband because he does home improvement type of work so its second nature for him to install it, but I can't speak as to ease of installation because like I said I didn't do it. But from the looks of my husband doing it, it looked pretty simple and it didn't take him long to install it. The 3 lights give off just the right amount of light and I absolutely love the fact that I can dim the lights or make them bright. I can make them however I want for the occasion I need them. That is the BEST PART!!! Overall, I am very pleased and impressed with this new addition to my kitchen. I would recommend this light fixture to anyone who is looking to upgrade their home with something new. They won't be disappointed. I am part of the vine program and received this product in return for my honest and fair opinion.

This fixture is an attractive light fixture that was relatively easy to assemble and install. Where is stands-out is that you get a fixture that's so versatile in its style that it will go great with so many dining tables/sets style-wise. I ordered this product to replace some unfortunate-looking ceiling lights in my entryway in my house. Note to buyer: make sure to measure where the fixture is going - my door clears this by about an inch, so I got lucky! Out of the box, I liked the look of the fixture. I did however notice that some the the twine was coming unwrapped, so I put some super glue on it immediately. The directions weren't the most informative, but I know how to install lights, so I didn't think it was a problem. One part of assembly has you putting wires through a tube and I felt it could damage the wiring if a person wasn't careful. Also, the wire nuts weren't big enough, so I just used the ones from my old fixture. I'm not sure why anchors and screws were included; they weren't used at all. All in all, not hard to install and it makes a dramatic difference in the look of my entryway. It's a more casual vibe with open lighting (farmhouse chic), so consider that.

It looks great in a small/meduim bathroom, or a small/medium room. We used it for a bathroom and loved the nice touch that it adds. Great quality. Easy to install. Was up within apprx. 10 minutes.
