The media could not be loaded. Usually I am very critical of these LED Fan lights since I have enjoyed quite a few. I do have a complaint on this, but all the goods outweigh the one bad. That is the mounting bracket they provide for the ceiling. The design is lacking and makes it difficult to pull wires through if you have a few wires in your ceiling box. More times than not, these ceiling boxes have wires tied to another one. Closet light is usually the main culprit adding these wires! The bracket was a bit fun trying to center with the box as well. Your main goal is to get the screws in and get it started, but you want to make sure it centers over the box nicely. The fan gives you a nice 8” cover that will hide it when it’s all finished for the perfectionists. They give two L catches instead of four which is a BIG plus in my book. While the unit is nice and stable during use and doesn’t really vibrate or rock like old school ceiling fans may have, I still like having two screws that lock the base to the bracket. When all four are L catches, there is that nagging concern in the back of my head that it may loosen itself off and potentially fall. The remote and app pairing was easy enough to use and figure out. I do wish the app used was Tuya or Smart Life so it matched up with ones I am already using and would allow for Alexa Voice Control. The off name app they have you download is basic and simple. Nothing exciting. To address the reverse function not blowing as well as the forward function, that is EXACTALY how it is supposed to work! In the winter, you hit the reverse so the blades spin counter clockwise and push the warm air from the ceiling back down into the room. (Heat rises, cool air falls… Basic science) The blades are also easy to remove and clean. A simple spray from the kitchen sink is often all I need. Much quicker and easier than the old school fan blades that required a whole lot more work! The price puts this as an excellent value. When I bought the house, my office is what used to be a sunporch which at some point in time was enclosed. The rest of the house has central air but no such luck in my office. I live in Phoenix so there is NO WAY to live without fans, evaps or AC as it is 110+ for 3-4 months each year. I put this off thinking it was going to be so much harder than it was. I took down the other light fixture, attached a few wires and we were good to go. The hardest part of it was doing it myself and the original ceiling fans were large, heavy and dusty. Once the old were down it really was easy. I am no DIYer (maybe a 4 on a 1=10 scale in trying something new but this is definitely easy This feels more durable, it is quiet and the remote is really cool. Not only can I change the speed but also the lighting level (no more pull chains!) I work too much - often starting at 3 or 4 in the morning and sometimes past midnight so the lighting is important. Although I live in the desert we have a month, maybe 6 weeks where it drops into the high 30's to low 50's. I like that it's easily reversible so when I have my heaters or the fake fireplace on I can use the fan in reverse and keep it warmer,. ... show more

I'm always appreciative and impressed when a product which requires assembly reveals thoughtful details which assist in an excellent, smooth install. This Mcestna fan includes numerous examples of a well designed product. It arrives beautifully protected, with all items presented in order of install. Instructions include labeled drawings of parts and assembly, with clearly written steps for install. The 'hanging board' which attaches to the ceiling Jbox has padding where the arms touch the ceiling; this should dampen any fan vibration, a thoughtful feature. I immediately wondered why I've never seen this with other fans I've installed. My install was secure with only the Jbox screws but the kit includes other options as well. A hanging wire secures the fixture to the hanging box, making this a straightforward one person job. Another thoughtful detail is found in the copper wires. The ends have a neat metal cap which protects the copper from damage. They requires stripping, but the copper is pristine due to the caps; worth the trouble to my mind. When attaching the light to the hanging box, two of the screws insert into slots which allows for quick and accurate placement, so helpful for ceiling work. As a result, a quick and easy install. The lamp is very attractive and offers many variations in quality of light. It produces a surprising amount of pleasing brightness at max level. With 3 basic color temp options, the remote also offers K adjustments to further dial in color quality to your liking. The six fan speeds move a surprising amount of air and are quiet. Even speed #6 is a white noise with no hum. Lower speeds are virtually inaudible. Our fan is in a large bedroom and the highest speed could be felt outside the entrance of the room.
